What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 'is- I v 1. A seal for lock seals or other analogous purposes, where it is important to keep a record of the nuuiber in! kind ofseals used, and the times, places, and circumstances of the use thereof, by the preparation of the I seal, upon a siipof paper with a marginal register, on which all the said facts may be noted, 3

2. I claim constructing said seals yariantly, so-as; to operate as a checkup on' counterfeiting, and so that it cannot be known which design-is used in any given case except by the person using [it and .by the record.
