TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, WARREN ROBINSON, of East Highgatc, Franklin county, State of Vermont, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Dumping-Wagons; and do hereby declare that the following is a -full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification.

In the annexed drawings, B B represent two side' rails which are connected by the braces S, and form the frame for the wagon. E represents the axle, which is mortised into the frame, and to which are connected the wheels for the wagon. A represents a series of boxes which are placed upon the frame, and of a number to suit thelcngth of the said frame. These boxes are composed each of two sides,a bottom and one end piece, and maybe made of any convenient size, so that when in their normal or, horizontal condition, (as seen in'fig. 1,) they cover the entire top of the frame B B. Under the centre of each box is a circular box H, which extends slightly beyondeach side of the box for the purpose of resting within small openings [1 on each of the rails B of the frame, and allowing the said boxes to turn. This bar H of each box acts as the axis for the box, andis the only connection for the frame and box. Attached to each side of each box A, near their forward ends, are cleats a, which extend about one half the lengths of the boxes, and project slightly beyond the said boxes, as shown. These cleats act for the double purpose of forming shoulders to support the boxes when clumped,

(see fig. 2,) and forin a connection,'making the series of boxes continuous. Near the rear end of one of the rails 15, is a pin, X, which is adjustable and passes through the said rail under the rear end of the rear box A, and acts as a support for the series of boxes. These boxes are filled with the article desired, when in the condition shownin ,fig. 1, and by withdrawing the pin Xmay be revolved upon their axis, as seen in fig. 2, and the article dumped upon the earth or place desired.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The construction of boxes A as herein described and used, with the frame B B, in the manner and for the purposes herein set forth.
