COMBINED PICTURE-EXHIBITOR AND TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 623,164, dated April 18, 1899.
Application filed-February 25, 1899. Serial No. 706,769. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN LAMAC, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jamestown, in the county of Chautauqua and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Oombined Picture-Exhibitor and Table, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in picture-exhibitors whereby the revolving case containing the pictures is hung in an opening in a table-top, which opening may be closed;
and the objects of my improvement are, first,
the combination and arrangement of the table-top and revolving case for the pictures, and, second, the means for retaining the pictures upon the holdersin the case, aswill be shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a perspective view of table with revolving case in position in top. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of revolving case at line :0 0c in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of table-top at line 3 y in Fig. 1. Fig. 4 is aplan view of either side of a holder for the pictures.

represents the frame of a table, and 11 the top of the same, which is hinged at 15 to the frame.
12 is the brace or support for the top to hold it at the desired angle of incline, and 13 the notches for the lower end of brace 12.
let is an opening cut in top 11, and 14 is a slide which just fills the opening 14 and which when closed makes a solid top for the table.
16 is a case for holding the photographs or pictures, and 17 (see Fig. 3) is a lug or block attached to the under side of top 11, but not to slide 14, strip 17 being placed across the upper side of opening 14 on the under side of top 11 to receive block 17. On the opposite or lower side of opening 14 a like block is attached directly to the under side of top 11, as
- shown in dotted outline in Fig. 1, and each of Fig. 1 has four compartments, divided by the partitions 19 19. (Shown in dotted outline.)

The holders are arranged in the Well-known manner of employing two odd numbered tiers, the top holder sliding down to the lower side as the case revolves.
In use slide 14 is pulled out, as shown, uncovering opening 14: and case 16, which case can then be revolved without raising top 1] to an incline, if desired, but when raised to the proper incline upon brace 12 the pictures are brought into the natural line of vision, and as case 16 revolves from side to side the extra holder slidesdown from the upper to the lower side of each compartment, thus uncovering four new pictures in the four comfor holding the pictures, allows of the easy change of pictures, yet holds them securely in position, not allowing any slipping or sliding on the holder.
I claim as new In a picture-exhibitor and table, the pictures mounted on each side of the thin central portion of holders having thicker ends to slide upon, elastic bands around said holders and pictures to hold them in position, in combination with a hinged tabletop provided with a revoluble case in which the pictureholders slide from side to side to bring the pictures alternately to View, substantially as shown and described. i
