SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 583,694, dated June 1, 1897. Application filed August 4, 1896. Serial No- 601,638. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, AUGUST SEBELIN, gentleman, a citizen of the Empire of Germany, and a resident of 83 N iemannsweg, Kiel, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Glove-Fasteners, of which the following is a specification.
The subject of the present invention is a novelty which affords a suitable and practical improvement in glove-fasteners of the Well known kind. With these fasteners the fas-,
tening has heretofore been effected by causing one glove-flap to overlap the other, whereas according to the present invention the fastening cap or clip is arranged so as to project beyond its flap and is jointed by means of a hinge.
The new fastener is represented in the accompanying drawings.
It will be seen from Figures 1, 2, and 3, which are respectively front part sectional elevation, plan, and plan in situ, respectively, that the cap 70 is jointed by a hinge s to the part i, in order that on being pressed upon the spring-button f the glove may be fastened, the part If being secured to one glove-flap and the spring-button f to the other.
For the sake of symmetry the part i is exactly of the same shape as the cap is, and the fastening of this part may also be effected in such a manner that it forms at the same time a cap and is pressed upon a spring-head. This. has the advantage that the glove may conveniently be opened to one or the other side.
By such means I am enabled to produce a fastening that is at once neat and effective AUGUST SEBELIN.
