Description

(No Model.) I
J. W. JOGHIM. FLUID FUEL 0R OIL STOVE.
Patented A Wiigzzsszs a UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN WV. J OOHIM, OF ISHPEMING, MICHIGAN.
FLUID-FUEL OR OIL STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 580,550, dated April 13, 1897.
Application filed July 10, 1895.
To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, JOHN W. J OCHIM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ishpeming, in the county of Marquette and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Fluid-Fuel or Oil Stove, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to kerosene or oil stoves; and the objects and advantages thereof will appear in the following description, the novel features being particularly pointed out in the appended claim.
In the drawing the figure represents a perspective view of a stove constructed in accordance with my invention.
1 designates a reservoir provided With a pump 1 and filling-plug l and with supporting-legs 2 and integral standards 3, Which rise above the plane of the top of the reservoir and are bent inward at their upper ends to form horizontal rests 4 to support the plate 5. Said plate is provided with radial seats 6 to engage the rests and with upstanding studs 7, upon Which a pot or other article may be seated, said plate being annular in construction to providea central opening located over the burner 9, which is supported by a feedtube 10, rising vertically from the center of the reservoir 1.
The supporting-plate is of sectional construction, the sections being segmental in I plan and being terminally connected by means of arched clips 6 the arched portions of said clips spanning the intervals between the spaced contiguous extremities of Serial No. 555,528. (No model.)
the sections, whereby the horizontal portions or rests 4 pass through said intervals during the seating of the plate thereon. Thestandards 3 may be secured to the exterior surface of the reservoir in any preferred manner, as by means of fastening-plates 3 to which the standards are soldered, said plates being riveted or otherwise attached to the reservoir.
Various changes in the form, proportion, and the minor details of construction may be resorted to Without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of this invention.
Having described my invention, What I claim is- A stove having a reservoir, a feed-tube rising centrally therefrom and carrying a burner, standards rising from the. reservoir and terminating at their upper ends in inturned horizontal rests, and an annular sectional supporting-plate provided with radial seats 6, engaging the rests with its central opening over the burner, said seats being formed by arched clips spanning the intervals between the spaced contiguous extremities of the sections of the plate, substantially as specified.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto affixed my signature in the presence of two Witnesses.
JOHN W. JOCHIM.
