Be it known that I, GEORGE CASTLEDEN, a subject Of the Queen Of Great Britain, and a resident Of Framlingham, in the county Of Sufi".olk, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvemeuts in Candlesticks, Of whieh the following is a fu1l, dem, and exact speeification.

This invention relates t0 candlesticks and it consists in certain improvements in same, an l is carried 0ut asfollows, referenee being had to the annexed drawings, in WhiOh- Figure 1 is a sectional side elevation; Fig'. 2, underneath view Of spring clip for holding disk in position; Fig. 3, plan view Of t0p OI upper side Of disk, showing pivoted springclip f01 holding the candle.

a is a disk attaehed to the socket-piece b, which enters the Socket b and is held 111 position by the spring-clips c the1ein in such a manner that the seid disk a ean be readily re- 1noved when required, the candle being held between two springelips d, which are carried. by the pivot e upon the disk a and may be turned 01 rotated upon same.

f .is a casing O1 tray which is carried upon the socket b, as shown, so that it may be readily slipped Off O1 removed when desired. This easing O1 tray earries the glass ehimney O1 g10be q when required, having perforation at h and being Of a desired size and height.

The soeket b is carried upon the bottom Of the candlestick 01 holder h. WVhen required, a perforated cover 01 eap z .may be plaeed upon the top Of the chimney or g10be g, so that currents Of ai1 Will be prevented t0 a large extent from blowing out 01 extinguishing the eandle.

In Fig. 2 the spring-clips 0 are attaehed at j to the tube Or soeket-pieee b, whieh enters the socket Z), by means Of rivets or the like.

l-Iaving thus described my invention, what I desire t0 secure by Letters Patent is- In candlestioks or candle-holders in eombination, a disk O1 plate having attaehed theret0 a socket-piece, spring-clips which engage in a soeket attaehed to the candlestiek OI' cancI1e-holder; a casing 01' surrounding tray whieh is earried upon the socket, a glass O1 globe which Tests upon said casing, or tray; perforations in the bottom Of seid casing O1 tray f01' the admission Of air 5 aperforated eap 01 Cover f0r use upon the top of the seid globe 01 ehimney; a spring-clip pivoted to the seid disk er plate upon the upper side Of same 5 f0r holding the eandle.
