lie it known that l, VILLIAM G. PRICE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Fra-ckville, in the county of Schuylkill and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a newr and useful Combination Folding Kitchen Toilet- Stand, of which the following is a specilication.

This invention relates to an improvement in Washstands.

The object of the present invention is to provide a simple and inexpensive construetion of folding washstand, made in the forni of a bracketadapted to be supported against the wall and capable of being folded into compact forni, so as to take up but slight rooni when'not in use.

A further object of this invention is to conibine in one article of household furniture a folding shelf adapted to contain a washbasin, a splasher or drip pan or tray adapted to catch the water and return it to the basin, a soap-box, a drip-pan therefor, a towel-rack, a shelf for the coinb and brush, and an adjust able mirror, and to arrange and mount said various parts in such manner that they maybe readily adjusted to the desired position, or folded when not in use, certain parts being made removable for the purpose of cleaning orV scouring the saine, and the device as a whole possessing other advantages and points of superiority, as will hereinafter appear.

To this end the invention consists in certain novel features, combinations, and details of construction and arrangement of parts, as hereinafter fullyT described, illustrated in the drawings, and pointed out in the claiins.

By means of the construction above dcscribed it Will be apparent that the shelf 21 and the splasher hinged thereto are both hinged with relation to the main frame'and also the sliding frame; also, that by the pcculiar construction and arrangement of the loop-frame 30 the shelf and splasher may be lifted bodily or swung upon the inner hooked ends of the arms 31 of the frame 30 as a ccnter, for giving access tothe bottom part yof the sliding frame for the purpose of cleaning or scouring the same when desired. The article described is very simple in construction maybe manufactured'atveryslight cost, and will be found ofthe greatestpossiblc convenienceand utility. lt protects the Wall against which it is placed'from being splashed with dirty Water, and by means of the particular construction of splasher or drip-pan described water is ,prevented from escaping and fallingupon the door. Other advantages which the device possesses will ybe apparent without further description.

Various changes in the form, proportion, and minor details of'construction may be rcsorted to Without departing from the'spirit or sacricing'any of the advantages of this invention.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new, and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is-

1. The combination with an open stationary supporting-frame adapted to be attached to a wall or partition, of a vertically-movable p frame slidably mounted within said stationary frame, a pivoted and folding shelf se cured to said vertically-movable frame and adapted to receive and support a washbasin,

and an open-link chain attached at its upper end to the stationary frame and capable of being connected with a projection on'the sliding frame for holding the latter suspended at any desired elevation, substantially as described.

2. The combination with a suitable supporting-frame, of a vertically-sliding frame mounted within said supporting-frame, a shelf foo A Carried by said sliding frame and pivotally eonneeted therewith so as to be eapable of being folded up ont of the way, and a springeateh for supporting said pivoted shelf in its folded or upright position, substantially as described.

A folding Washstand comprising a stationary snpportingframe adapted to be seeured to and suspended upon a Wall, a sliding fra-me mounted npon said stationary frame and Capable of being ad jnsted to and retained at any desired height, a shelf hinged to said sliding frame and adapted to receive and snpport a washbasin, and a forwardly-extending aiin rigidly connected with said sliding frame and extending beneath said hinged shelf for supporting the latter in horizontal position, substantially as described.

l. In a., washstand, the Combination with the main su pporting-frame, of a frame having 'a sliding Connection therewith and provided with forwardly-extending arms, a shelf pivotally eonneeted with said sliding' frame and adapted to receive and support a Washbasin,

oppositely-disposed eleats seenred to said shelf and notehed at their inner ends to engage beneath stops on said sliding frame, and means for retaining said sliding frame at any desired height, substantially as specified.

5. In a Washstand, the combination with the main snpportingframe, of a sliding frame connected therewith and provided with a removable drip-tray, a soap-box carried by said sliding frame and located above said driptray, ashelf carried by said slidin g frame and adapted to receive and support a Washbasin, a splasher pivotally connected with said shelf and adapted to overlie the Washbasin, and means for holding said sliding frame and its shelf at any desired height, substantiallyT as described.
