UNITED STATES ATENT OFFICE.
CULINARY CABINET.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 53,260, dated March 20, 1866.

making part of this specification, and in which- Figure l is a representation or frontview of my invention with its doors open or removed. Fig. 2 is a vertical section ot' the same, taken in rear of its egg-beater; and I1`ig.3, a section of its iiour-sifter.
The object of my invention is to produce an article of domestic use which shall combine or contain within itself or its case a number of culinary articles which are usually scattered about in different places or apartments, the whole combination forming what I term in the trade the cooks cabinet.
The apparatus is a very useful one to cooks or housekeepers, as it occupies little space, contains in a small compass and ready at hand a number of indispensable articles, and can be transported from one room or place to another with ease and celerity. For camping-out purposes it is also useful and appropriate.
In the drawings above referred to, A denotes a rectangular box or case, which is open at front, and may be provided with doors to open laterally, or with a large cover to lower down in front of the said case.
Within the said case A and situated at one end thereof, as shown in the drawings, is a rotary Hour-sitter, B, whose crank 0r handle a, extends outside of the case A and into such a position that it can readily be operated by the hand ot' a person.
Situated at the opposite side ofthe case A is a set ot spice-drawers, b b b, 85o., they being retained in place in part by means of a partition, c, extending from top to bottom ot' the case A. A small shelf, d, is attached to the upper part ot' this partition, as seen in the drawings, and to which an eggbeate1, C, is secured, a movable support, c, being placed under it for reception ot' the dish containing` the eggs to be beaten.
The case A may further contain rollin g-pins, spoons, Src., as occasion may require.
The above-described apparatus is a great favorite with all cooks and housekeepers who have used it, and may be the means of creating a large business.
The hour-sitter B, and the egg-beater C, com bined with the cabinet A, as specified.
