More specifically, the code converter is able to make smaller the value of the word, which is equal to or exceeds the value of the key N, than the value of the key N. Accordingly, if the word, which has bypassed the linear transformation arrangement, is applied to the code converter, the word in question is subject to the linear transformation without failure.
