To all whom it 'may concern:

Be it known that I, AUGUSTUS J. OHMER, of Hamilton, Butler county, Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Portable Soda or Refreshinent Fountains; and [do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exaot description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification.

My invention is designed for portable fountains; and it consists in a provision for Cooling ofthe liquor as it escapes from the vessel.

Figure l is a perspective view of a fountain embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is an axial section of the same.

To the top or other convenient part of a portable fountain, A, substantially suoli as that patented to me on the 22d day of November, 1864, I secure a chamber, B, for the reception of ice or other cooling substance, and called by me the refrigerator.77 The pipe U,

through which the fountain is charged and discharged, is made to enter and coil or Wind about in the refrigerator B, and to pass out through the side or other suitable part thereof, and to terminate in a customary nozzle, D. E is a cover to the refrigerator.

The refrigerator may be made detachable from or be brazed or seamed permanently to the fountain, and may be located at the bottom or side, or Within the latter.

I claim herein as new and of my invention- Oombining with a portable refreshmentfountain the refrigerator B, traversed by the discharge-pipe O,i11 the manner substantially as set forth.
