To the outer end of the arm C is a pendant,
D, which is pinned to the said arm O, so that its lower end will have a pendulous motion, and to this said lower e'nd is secured a crossbar, to which fly-brushes are secured. The ybrush moves backward and forward a short distance above the table.
Near the center ofthe pendant D is secured a cord, E, which passes to the upright el and around a pulley' on said upright, and then down through a loop, Ii, to the end of a treadle, Gr, and secures to it at one end. The treadle is beneath the table and is operated by the foot of a person at the table, for the purpose of vibrating the pendant D, thus keeping off the flies.
