such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to improvements in dress-holders, designed for their simplicity,

durability, and cheapness of construction.

I have set forth fully hereinafter the details of construction, and the essential features of my invention and illustrated them in the accompanying drawing which represents a vertical elevation of my device.

The main body of the holder consists of a piece of wire bent somewhat in the form of the letter H the upper projecting ends B being intended to be placed beneath the shoulders of the dress, While the lower projecting ends 0 across the body or hips of the dress.

In order to supply means for suspending the holder, I have twisted the central portion of the wire, between the upper projecting ends B, to form the loop D. To increase the strength and rigidity of the holder, after twisting the ends of the wire together at the point E, I have spread them apart and over the central portion F of the form, thus preventing the vertical portions F from being spread apart by the downward strain on the lower projecting ends 0.

In order to brace theupper portion of the holder, I have supplied the U shaped wire brace G, which after passing about the vertical portions F of the frame, are secured to the main wire A at points near and on opposite sides of the loop D. Y It will be readily seen from the foregoing description that I have provided a very simple, durable and inexpensive form, and by the use of which dresses may be held, when not 45 in use, in a position to obviate the liability of the forming of creases and undesirable folds.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- Adress holder formed of wire having abody portion substantially in the form of the letter H with upper curved projecting ends, and with larger projecting lower ends, the loop formed by the central portion of said wire, the inclined braces near the lower end with a coil connecting said braces, and the substantially U shaped brace near the upper end and joining the body portion, and upper projecting portions, all substantially as shown and described.
