In a trousers-hanger, the combination of a head or bar provided with serrations, two gripping devices, each consisting of a fixed jaw and a springstretched movable jaw hinged to the fixed jaw, both of said jaws having inwardly-turned serrations, one of said gripping devices being rigidly fixed to said bar and the other adapted to slide along said bar,.and provided with a spring-detent adapted to engage in its serrations, and thereby lock said gripping device in position against the tension of the stretched waistband, substantially as described.
