WASHING-FLUID.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 450,431, dated April 14, 1891.
Application filed November 10, 1890- Serial No. 370,965. (Specimens) T0 in whOm it may concern-.-
Be it known that I, JOHANN HENRY SEEBER- GER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of New York, in the county of New York and State of NewYork, have invented a certain new and useful Washing Liquid or Composition, of which the following is a specification.
My composition consists of the following ingredients, eombinedin the proportions stated, Viz: aqua-ammonia, one and one-half ounce; spirits of turpentine, four ounces; oil of peppermint, two ounces; oil of winter-green, two ounces; oil of tansy, one dram; oil of cedar, two ounces; oil of cajeput, two ounces; oil of citronella, one dram; oil of lavender, three drains; grain-alcohol, three drains refined petroleum-oil, one gallon.
The ingredients are to be thoroughly mixed.
7 In using the above-named composition I proceed as follows: After the soiled clothes, of whatever texture,have been put in the boiler and hot water added I add of the above composition in the proportion of two tablespoonfuls to every ten gallons of water and allow them to boil together.
By the use of the above composition the fabrics are speedily cleansed.
The hands of the operator are in no way affected; but, on the contrary, the operator finds that the hands become smooth and soft.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States of America, is-
The herein-described composition of matter to be used for cleansing fabrics, consisting of aqua-ammonia, spirits of turpentine, oil of peppermint, oil of winter-green, oil of tansy, oil of cedar, oil of cajeput, oil of citronella, oil of lavender, grain-aleohohantl refined petroleum-oil, in the proportions specified.
