In the four rectangular wells or compartments thus formed are placed correspondingly shaped bottles, preferably shorter than that which is placed in the central well or compartment. In the corners left vacant by the above arrangement small bottles, statuettes, or other ornamental articles may be placed, the same being represented by the letter E.

SHOW-BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 435,023, dated August 26, 1890'.
Serial No. 347,770. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY A. ROBINSON, of Foxcroft, in the county of Piscataquis and State of Maine, have invented new and useful Improvements in Show-Boxes, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is an improved show-box or show-stand for exhibiting bottles of medicine, perfuinery, &c., upon a counter or show-case, the nature of the invention being fully described below and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l. is a perspective view of my improved show box or stand. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same. Fig. 3 is a perspective view reduced, showing the same packed for transportation.

A represents .a fiat base, substantially square,with preferably round corners. From this base or floor rise four walls B, centrally secured to it and forming a rectangular or square well or compartment into which is dropped a large bottle (shown in broken lines) for a central figure. Extending outward at right angles with each wall Bare two parallel walls 0, which join lower walls D, situated at or near the edge of the base A, parallel with the walls B. The upper edges of the wallsO are formed at the proper angles to extend from the tops of the higher walls B to the tops of the lower walls D. In the four rectangular wells or compartments thus formed are placed correspondingly shaped bottles, preferably shorter than that which is placed in the central well or compartment. In the corners left vacant by the above arrangement small bottles, statuettes, or other ornamental articles may be placed, the same being represented by the letter E.
When the device is to be shipped, a box II of suitable shape may be dropped over it to inclose it.
The material of the show box or stand may be straw-board or any other suitable substance. Thus the show box or stand presents a substantially equally ornamental appearance on all sides.
Having thus fully described my invention,
what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The herein-described showbox or showstand, consisting of the base A, rectangular central walls B, out-wardly-extending wall O, and walls D, whereby a central well or compartment is produced and outer compart ments on each of the four outer sides of said central compartments,substantially as set forth.
