Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved hammockstand with one of the curtains removed. Fig. 2 is a view of my hammock-stand packed for shipping.
The two vertical posts A are each provided with a pair of lateral braces B, which are preferably hinged at a to their respective posts, and are further connected to them by the hinged arms 0.

G is the lower rail, which is connected to the posts A in the same manner as the upper rail In order to pack the hammock-stand into I a small space to facilitate its transportation, the rails D and G are knocked out of their sockets, the curtains I wrapped round them and the rails placed parallel with the posts A and the whole bound together by the straps J, as shown in Fig. 2, the hinged arms O being disconnected, as indicated.
WVhat I claim as my invention is- A hammock-stand consisting of the stand ards having hooks for the hammock and carrying socket-pieces at their upper and lower ends, inclined braces hinged to said standards, the rails having fingers fitting in said sockets, and rods secured to the upper rail 011 each side thereof to receive the rings on the curtain.
