SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 419,694, dated January 21, 1890.
Application filed August 8, 1888. Serial No. 282,289. (No model.)

Be it known that I, SAMUEL LoYD, a citizen of the United States, and aresident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Pipe Branches, of which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to induce an upward iiow of Water through vertical branches of servicepipe, so that the current Will not be cut off or siphoned back when the lower faucets are being used.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l represents a section of horizontal servicepipe with a vertical branch. The flow enters from either direction through the ports A or B, and, coming in contact with the projection D, is driven upward into thc vertical branch C.
