The object of my invention is to provide a tooth-brush. with a hollow handle, in which the brush may be inclosed when not in use,
to render the brush portable, and to protect it from injury.
My invention eonsists'in the combination, with a tooth-brush, of a hollow handle made in two parts hinged together and adapted to receive the brush, the brush being pivoted in one half of the handle.

hen the brush A is unfolded and the handle B is closed, as shovn in Fig. 1, the brush is arranged for use. hen the brush is not in use, it is folded into the handle, as shown in Fig. 2, and the handle is shut so as to inclose the brush.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The combination, with the brush A, provided with the short shank c, of the hollow handle B, formed of the halves d (1, connected by hinges and adapted to receive the brush, substantially as described.
2. The combination of the hollow handle B, formed of the similar halves (Z cl, having semicircular grooves 1', the hinges 0, connecting the halves, the spring-catch f, the push-pin h, and the brush A, provided with the shank n, pivoted in the half (1, substantially as described.
