Referring to the letters marked on the drawings, I is the base-bar of the frame made of sections of hollow pipe threaded at the ends and detachably screwed into the joints or couplings c 0. These couplings c e are provided with legs 0 on each side, the same as the leg 0 at each end of the base I. The coup ling S also has a like leg, 0, on each side, and said coupling and connections are adjustable away from and toward the foot-rest G by the coupling S sliding loosely on the base I.

The custoniers seat B is at the top of the hollow vertical standard F, which standard is detachably coupled with said seat and the coupling S. 3y moving the seat B and its supports, as above explained, the proper distance from the foot-rest is established for different persons; but, if preferred, the scat B may not be thus adjustable.

The seat A may also he adjustable by having the coupling (I; slide like coupling S, and so likewise the coupling 0 serves to show how the coupling S may be nonadjustable.

The hollow standard I l, screwed into the coupling 0, contains a rotary pintle, cl, which is held from turning by the set-screw 'v, and this set-screw also sustains or holds the pintle at different heights according to the person using the foot-rest on top of said pintle. By turning the pintle the angle of the footrest is changed laterally in accordance with the position occupied by the customer. The

circular head D of the pintle d has a periph eral channel, 0, Fig. 3. The brackets 1" have a raised circular portion, 6, Fig. 4, fitting in the channel a, said brackets occupying the position shown in Figs. 1 and 2 and forming a support for the foot-rest O. The brackets are held bya bolt, a, which passes through them and through the open space on of the head D. This space is widened at the ends to allow the bolt a to tilt when the brackets are moved or rocked over one way or the other .to change the pitch of the foot-rest O. The

brackets 9 do not touch each other, and by means of the bolt-nut operated by handle a they clamp the head D rigidly enough to hold the foot-rest at the desired pitch. In changing the pitch the nut is of course loosened. The attendent can readily effect the different adjustments of the foot-rest while the customers foot is upon it. To the left-hand coupling e is attached a standard, G, bearing the attendants seat A.

I design to supply this store-service to the trade either with or without the customers seat, as desired; hence I do not wish to limit myselfto the structure in Fig. 1 as a whole.

While it is convenient in shipping and building the device to have the standards, base-bar, legs, d e, detachable, yet, if preferred, they may be made rigidly attached together.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim is 1. The combination, with the detachable customers seat and the salesmans seat,of the foot-rest and its support having the circular head with peripheral channel and the recess, the brackets fitting said head and channel and bearing the foot-rest, the bolt passing through the brackets and the recess of the head, and the bolt-nut, substantially as set forth.

2. The combination of a salesmans seat, a foot-rest, a customers seat, a base consisting of sections of hollow pipe, and the joints having the laterally-extended and downwardlybowed legs, the ends of said sections of pipe being detachably screwed into said joints and standards for the two seats and the footrest, said standards being detachably'screwed into the top of said joints, substantially as set forth.
