The present invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein:
FIG. 1 is a front elevation view of the merchandise display stand showing some displayed building panels in phantom supported in an upright position by the stand.
FIG. 2 is a top plan view of the merchandise display stand of this invention.
FIG. 3 is a front plan view of the merchandise display stand of this invention.
FIG. 4 is a side view of the stand taken along line 4--4 of FIG. 3.
FIG. 5 is a back view of the stand taken along the line 5-5 in FIG. 4.
The merchandise display stand of this invention is comprised of a rectangular base 1 which preferably is made of wood into which are inserted and secured a series of rigid vertical tubular loops 2 preferably five in number, said tubular loops 2 being positioned from the center back of the base I at an outward angle as they are positioned progressively to near the outward ends of the base I. This positioning of the loops provides spacing between them for stacking vertically plastic building panels including cured, fiberglass-reinforced, unsaturated polyester panels and the like for display. A first reinforcing tube 3 is located about midway in the length of the backside of the loops 2 and attached to the backside of the loops 2 at the point of contact therewith, said first reinforcing tube being parallel to the plane of the base 1. At the front center of the base 1 is located and secured a tubular pole 4 which is connected to the backs of the center two tubular loops 2 and at the top of said tubular pole 4 by means of a second reinforcing tube 5. Attached to the tubular pole 4 at a point below the center and above the bottom of said tubular pole 4 is a basket 6 for holding displayed accessories such as containers of cements, and the like. The basket 6 is attached to the tubular pole 4 before the tubular pole 4 is secured to the base 1. Optionally reinforcing braces as shown at 7 can be provided on the vertical tubular loops for reinforcement if desired.
I claim:
1. A merchandise display stand comprising a rectangular base bearing a plurality of vertical loops which are outwardly angled and progressively positioned toward the outward ends of the base at opposite inclination on each side from the center back of the base, said stand having a first reinforcing tube parallel to the plane of said base attached to the backside of said loops and being located about midway in the length of the loops and a vertical tubular pole secured near the front I and center of said base which is connected to the fronts of the center two vertical tubular loops and at the top of said tubular pole by means of a second reinforcing tube which is parallel to the plane of the base and a basket for holding displayed items secured to said pole.
2. The display stand of claim 1 wherein the basket is located at a point below the center and above the bottom of the tubular pole.
3. The display stand of claim 2 wherein additional reinforcing braces are provided on the vertical tubular loops.
