Abstract
A mass-produced house designed to be nested and folded into a compact package for conveyance by one vehicle and unloadable therefrom as a nearly-completed house on the building site, and made of light but strong panels and floor bases, comprises a utility section having a floor base and including, in alreadyerected condition on the base, a long outer wall, a long inner wall, two shorter outer walls, and inner walls forming a kitchen, an adjacent bathroom, and an additional room adjacent the bathroom, and including necessary utilities. The package also includes a second section having a floor base and including, in already-erected condition on the base, a long wall and two shorter outer walls. The second section is designed to nest with the utility section with the shorter walls of both sections being disposed in overlying relation. The two sections are desirably hinged, and a third section may be added in nesting relation.

The package also includes a second section having a floor base and including, in alreadyerected condition on the base, a long wall and two shorter outer walls. The second section is designed to nest with the utility section with the shorter walls of both sections being disposed in overlying relation. The

Claims (17)
1. A compact transportable house package designed to be conveyed by one vehicle and unloadable therefrom as a nearly-completed house on the building site, comprising: a utility section comprising a first floor base and including in already erected condition on said base a long outer wall, a first and a second shorter outer wall adjoining the ends of said long outer wall and a long inner wall, the end of said long inner wall being proximate to the remaining ends of said first and said second shorter outer walls, and inner walls forming a kitchen, an adjacent bathroom and an additional room adjacent the bathroom said inner walls being connected to said long outer wall and said long inner wall, a second floor base of a second section and including in already erected condition on said second floor base a long wall and a first and a second shorter outer wall adjoining the ends of said long outer wall, a vertical opening disposed between one end of said long inner wall of said utility section and said first shorter outer wall thereof said vertical opening being sufficiently wide to allow access therethrough of said first shorter outer wall of said second section, said second section being disposed in nested relation with respect to said utility section with said first shorter outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but, in horizontally displaced relation with the first shorter outer wall of said second section and said second outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but in horizontally displaced relation with the second shorter outer wall of said second section and other building elements required for the completion of the structure of said house being disposed in and over said utility section.
2. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 1, wherein the inner edge of said first floor base is connected in hinged relation to the wall-free long edge of the second floor base.

A compact transportable house package, according to claim 1, wherein: said floor base of said utility section has two long edges and two shorter edges and said floor base of said second section also has two long edges and two shorter edges, and the long free edge of said latter base is disposed in abutting relation to the long inner edge of said first floor base, and said second section is disposed in relation to said utility section as follows: said second floor base is disposed in overlying relation with respect to said long inner wall of said utility section, said first shorter outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but, in horizontally displaced relation with the first shorter outer wall of said second section and said second outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but in horizontally displaced relation with the second shorter outer wall of said second section and said long wall of said second section is disposed on top of said utility section.
4. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 3, wherein the shorter edges of said second floor base extend beyond the shorter edges of said first floor base.
5. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 1, wherein a third floor base of a third section is disposed in overlying relation over said long wall of said second section.
6. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 5, wherein a long wall, attachable to the other long edge of said third floor base, is disposed on said package.
7. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 6, in which a long wall is attached at its base, in hinged relation, at the other long edge of said third floor base.
8. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 1, and including a vehicle disposed thereunder, said package serving as a load for said vehicle.
9. A transportable house package, according to claim 8, and including a hoist disposed on the vehicle and transported therewith, said hoist being powered from said vehicle.
10. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 3, wherein said first floor base is attached in hinged relation to said second floor base.
11. A compact transportable house package designed to be conveyed by one vehicle and unloadable therefrom as a nearly-completed house on the building site, comprising: a utility section comprising a first floor base having two long edges and two shorter edges and including, in already-erected condition on said base, a long outer wall disposed at one of the long floor edges, a long inner wall disposed at the other long floor edge, two shorter outer walls at the shorter floor edges, and inner walls forming a kitchen, an adjacent bathroom and an additional room adjacent the bathroom, and including necessary utilities, a second floor base of a second section also having two long edges and two shorter edges and disposed with one long edge in abutting relation to the long inner edge of said first floor base and having one shorter edge extending inwardly beyond one shorter edge of said first floor base and having the other shorter edge extending outwardly beyond the other short edge of said first floor base, and including, in already-erected condition on said second base, a long wall disposed at the other long floor edge and two shorter outer walls at the shorter floor edges, a vertical opening disposed near one end of said long inner wall of said utility section and in line with said inwardly-extending edge of said second Floor base and with dimensions adequate to allow access therein of a short wall of said second section, said second section being disposed in relation to said utility section, as follows: the second floor base is disposed in overlying relation with respect to said long inner wall of said utility section, one of said shorter walls of the second section is disposed on its side edge through said opening and lying on said first floor base in overlying relation with respect to a shorter side of said utility section, while the other shorter side of said second section is disposed similarly on its side edge outside of the house in overlying relation with respect to the other shorter side of the utility section, and said long wall of said second section is disposed on top of the utility section, and other building elements needed to complete the structure of the house are disposed in and over said utility section.
12. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 11, including a vehicle disposed thereunder, said package serving as a load for said vehicle.
13. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 11, wherein said first floor base is attached in hinged relation to said second floor base.
14. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 13, including: a third floor base of a third section also having two long edges and two shorter edges and attached at one of its long edges, in hinged relation, to the other long edge of said second floor base and disposed on top of the inner wall of said second section.
15. A compact transportable house package, according to claim 14, including a long outer wall attached at its base, in hinged relation, to the other long edge of said third floor base.

A compact transportable house package designed to be conveyed by one vehicle and unloadable therefrom as a nearly-completed house on the buiding site, comprising: a utility section comprising a first floor base having two long edges and two shorter edges and including, in already-erected condition on said base, a long outer wall disposed at one of the long floor edges, a long inner wall disposed at the other long floor edge, two shorter outer walls at the shorter floor edges, and inner walls forming a kitchen, an adjacent bathroom, and an additional room adjacent the bathroom, and including necessary utilities therefor, a second floor base of a second section also having two long edges and two shorter edges and disposed with its one long edge in abutting relation to the inner long edge of said first floor base and having one shorter edge extending inwardly beyond one shorter edge of said first floor base and having the other shorter edge extending outwardly beyond the other shorter edge of said first floor base and including, in already-erected condition on said second base, a long wall disposed at the other long floor edge, and two shorter outer walls at the shorter floor edges, a vertical opening disposed near one end of said long inner wall of said utility section in line with said inwardly-extending edge of said second floor base and with dimensions adequate to allow access therein of a short wall of said second section in a manner such that when the second floor base is raised to be in overlying relation with said long inner wall of said utility section, a short wall of said second section will enter through said opening and be disposed on its side edge over the first floor base while the other short wall of said second section will be similarly disposed with respect to the other short wall of said utility section outside of the house.

A compact transportable house package according to claim 1 designed to be conveyed by one vehicle and unloadable therefrom as a nearly-completed house on the building site, comprising: a utility section comprising a first floor base having a first and a second long edge and a first and a second shorter edge and including, in already-erected cOndition on said base, a long outer wall at said first long floor edge, a first and a second shorter outer wall adjoining the ends of said long outer wall located at said first and said second shorter edges respectively, and a long inner wall located at said second long floor edge, the ends of said long inner wall being proximate to the remaining ends of said first and said second shorter outer walls, and inner walls forming a kitchen, an adjacent bathroom and an additional room adjacent the bathroom and including necessary utilities, said inner walls being connected to said long outer wall and said long inner wall, a second floor base of a second section also having a first and a second long edge and a first and a second short edge and having said first long edge attached, in hinged relation, to said second long edge of the first floor base and including, in already-erected condition on said second base, a long wall at its second long floor edge and a first and a second shorter outer walls at the said first and second shorter floor edges, and said second section being disposed with respect to the utility section in a manner such that when the outer edge of said second base is raised so that it is in overlying relation with respect to said long inner wall of said utility section, the shorter walls of the second floor base will lie on their side edges with said first shorter outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but, in horizontally displaced relation with the first shorter outer wall of said second section and said second outer wall of the utility section disposed proximate to but in horizontally displaced relation with the second shorter outer wall of said second section and said long wall of said second section, and said long wall of said second section being disposed on top of said utility section.
