- the rotating table 37 is mounted after the fashion of a turret in the pivot on a vertical shaft 38.
- the annular flat table surface is subdivided into 16 zones.
- a wipe 57 is arranged near rotary table 37, where a flat driven roller track 58 begins.
- Mounted on a stationary filling column 59 is a vertically displaceable trolley 39 which can be raised or lowered by means of lifting cylinders 40 and which has a filling nozzle 41 fixed thereto via a supporting flange 14.
- a lifting cylinder 56 arranged above springs 53, a pressure plate 54 and a coupling rod actuates control piston 17 in filling nozzle 41.
- the installation of the present invention is operated as follows:
- Drums 51 are placed on roller track 35 inclined in the direction of rotating table 37 and arrive at rotating table 37.
- the drive of rotating table 37 is locked in such a way that during the filling process no transportation can take place on filling column 59, and after this only by one zone at a time/Accordingly on. stripper 57 there is connected by a lock a drum which is on driven roller track 58.
- a preliminary supply of warm water into the empty drum can be carried out via water feed pipe 52.
- the lowering of filling nozzle 41 is effected by actuating lifting cylinders 40.
- the supporting cross 47 with the probes for the phosphorus level and warm water level settles on the rim of the drum, and when it islowered further pins 46 arranged in supporting cross 47 actuate limit switches on drum cover 44, after which the nozzle remains in this position. If the water probe indicates that the filling nozzle does not dip in the water, it is necessary primarily to add warm water via pipe 48 and outlet valve 21 of filling nozzle 41, before lifting cylinder 56 can raise control piston 17. As a result, the outflow of liquid yellow phosphorus under water is rendered possible.
- the filling nozzle of the present invention comprises more particularly a control pipe 23 having a plurality of perforations through it and connected at its top end portion with a cylindrical member 24 which, via a connecting piece of pipe 25, carries an eye 26 for connecting up a control unit; a nozzle supporting pipe 8, which concentrically surrounds the control pipe 23 and is provided in its upper portion with a warm-water inlet 15, the nozzle supporting pipe 8 carrying at its bottom end a control cylinder 11 with a control piston 17 having a hole drilled through it which is fixed via a conical bottom 12 to a nozzle pipe 1, and at its top end has a gland 13 with supporting flange 14; the nozzle pipe 1 concentrically surrounding the nozzle supporting tube 8 so as to form an annular chamber receiving yellow phosphorus; a heating jacket 2 around nozzle tube 1 so as to form a heating chamber 6, the heating jacket 2 having passed through it in its upper end firstly a double tube (3, 4) delivering warm water to heating chamber 6 and delivering yellow phosphorus to annular chamber 16, and second
- Theinstallation of the present invention comprises more particularly a roller track 36 arranged in inclined position a turret-type rotating table 37 mounted at its pivot on a vertical shaft 38; a stationary filling column 59 which is arranged on the periphery of rotating table 37, with a filling nozzle 41; a switch and control desk 42 arranged on the rear of filling column 59; a flat driven roller track 58 and a stripper 57 which is arranged on the periphery of the rotating table 37 at the place at which roller track 58 commences.
