.'5 Massachusetts, have invented newand useful Improvements in Reel-Supports, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in reel-supports; and it has for its object to'provide a lightand portable support and frame for reels containing worsted yarn or similar spun materials. Heretofore such materials have generallybeen sold in skeins, which rebe used forv knitting, embroidery, or similar purposes. With my' invention I propose to furnish to the trade worsted wound upon a flat reel that is pivoted upon a frame capable of being folded together for transportation, and thus to occupy but very littlespace; and

* when expanded it will serve as a proper support for the reel, enabling the yarnto be drawn directly from it as it is being used for knitting, embroidery, orfsimilar purposes, without the need of winding .it in the form of a ball, as is now commonly done when the yarn is bought in the form of skeins. r

The invention is carried out as follows, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 represents a perspective View of the device, showing the frame or support as expanded when used as astand for the reel; and Fig.2 represents a plan viewof the device, shown as folded together fortransportationor when suspended from above when in use.
