Be it known that I, HUBERT '0. 'HART, re-

siding at Unionville, in the county of Hartsoription of the same, reference being had to 1 the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.

My invention relates to an improvement in boot or shoe heel fasteners, the object being to produce a fastener adapted to positively clamp the several lifts of a heel-body together, and also to positively clamp the whole heel to the sole of a boot or shoe, combining simplicity and cheapness of construction with durability in use, and affording enduring wearing-sun faces for the protectionof the top lift.

With these ends in view my invention consists in a boot or shoe heel fastener having a long binding end, a shorter wearing end, and a flange located between and in line with such ends, the binding end being adapted in length to pass through the heel-body and to project from the heel-seat, and to have its projecting end turned down to co-operate with the flange in securing a positive retaining action for the fastener. 1 v

My invention further consists in certain details of construction, as will be hereinafter described, and pointed out in the claim.
