IMPROVED ICE-CLOG.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JosEPH J STARR, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio, have invented a new and useful Ice-Clog; and I do hereby declare the following to beafull, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making part of this specification.
My invention has for its object a convenient attachment to a shoe to prevent slipping; and it consists in a roughened plate adapted by a pair of oblique lips, to grasp the sole just behind its widest part,so as to prevent forward dislodgment, while a strap'passing from said lips over the instep prevents any displacement backward-or downward.
Figure 1 represents my clog in position.

This is a remarkably neat, compact, and reliable form of ice-clog, and will fit shoes of different sizes without liability to dislodgset my hand.
