  • critical diameter of most fuel sensitized slurries increases as pressure on the slurry increases, at a rate of about 0.07 to 0.1 inches of critical diameter in the slurry, per pound per square inch of pressure increase. That is, a typical slurry of critical diameter d of4 inches at zero or atmospheric pressure may have a d, of about 6 inches at 20 p.s.i.g.
