Definitions
- the present invention relates to a furniture piece formed as a box, in general, and to such furniture piece having an upper sided closure cover and at least one displaceable inner floor face.
- so-called sewing utensil boxes furniture pieces are known in which the goods to be stored can be inserted in several floors in an orderly manner.
- the higher floor formed as a partition must be removed. This is not only unfavorable as to the handling, but also insofar as then always an adjacent setting face must be present for this floor face and the setting oif brings about the danger of falling over or the like.
- the floor face is then somehow set off where it is no more accessible.
- an advantageous solution is to be provided, according to which a predetermined place is coordinated to the inner floor face or faces, but also such outside of the furniture piece.
- the floor face is formed as an annular face rotatable in the stand cylinder open in upward direction.
- an advantageous feature of the present invention resides in the fact that the closure cover is movably arranged on a guide telescopically withdrawable in upward direction.
- the telescope guide in accordance with the present invention is formed by two telescope tubes, disposed on both sides of the box wall, which telescope tubes hold at their upper end swingably the closure cover connecting the same.
- At least a releasable locking device is coordinated to at least one telescope tube against a spring effect by operation of a key for arresting the telescope drawing out.
- An advantageous structure resides, beyond that, in accordance with the present invention in an arrangement according to which the recess of the floor face is adjusted to the roundness of the box wall and holding claws are coordinated to the recess.
- the recess starts from a central opening of the floor face.
- the holding claws are formed by outwardly directed U-edges of the upwardly directed floor face edge.
- a bottom sided flange plate of the box is provided into which a flange of the stand column enters rotatably.
- the furniture piece can have an application as a cosmetic box, a smoker box or as a bar, etc.
- One or a plurality of floor faces can be arranged. Each time the lower arranged floor face is easily accessible. One rotates therefor the present floor face such, that the recess is arranged above the object to be gripped. It will be simultaneously favored, that during gripping of the object upon removal of the same by the preferably sector-shaped recess, the position of the adjacent objects is not interfered with.
- the rotatable floor face is equipped with an upwardly directed edge so that, during its rotational movement, objects cannot slide off and fall in the split necessary for the rotation due to the concentricity.
- the hollow formed standing cylinder produces an additional separate deposit space, for instance, for objects, which are appreciably higher than the distance of the floor faces from each other and of the floor face from the bottom face, respectively.
- the box Upon use of the box, the latter can then, due to the structure of the present invention, rotate again as a total such, that the outside suspended floor face comes into the best gripping position. It has been found, that the suspending connection is generally so tight, that even a rotation of the box during gripping on the floor face is possible, even if round cross-sectional shapes are provided. Due to the fact that the recess edges start from a simple opening of the floor face, the possibility exists to suspend the floor face practically at all points of the box edge and also in the zone, respectively, where the carrying holding means are provided for the box closing cover. The closure cover, displaceable correspondingly upwardly and still movable in this high position, permits a good accessibility for rotation of the floor face and for gripping of the objects disposed therebelow.
- the closure cover can thereby be arranged at a one-sided telescope guide and be swingably arranged in its own plane. If it is, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, withdrawable upwardly on two telescope tubes and be arranged between the latter, first of all result appreciable use advantages, when the closure cover is equipped on the inside with a mirror and in such case can be converted particularly in connection with laterally arranged floor faces suspended on the box wall with a few manipulations through a dressing unit.
- One can, in case of a proper position of the mirror look from above into the box, which is,
- the releasable locking device permits thereby the favorable height arrangement of the mirror for the different use purposes and for obtaining of the most suitable viewangles into the box, respectively.
- the stability formed by preferably provided two telescope tubes of the cover permits therefor without important structural parts, to obtain such great stability, that the furniture can also be used as a sitting facility.
- the provision of the flange plate-mounting is also of advantage as to its manufacture with releasable plug arrangement also as to shipping.
- FIG. 1 is an elevation, partly in section, of a first embodiment of the furniture piece of the present invention showing an opened closure cover;
- FIG. 2 is a section along the lines 22 of FIG. 1;
- FIG. 3 is a top plan view of the open box
- FIG. 4 is a section along the lines 4-4 of FIG. 3;
- FIG. 5 is a longitudinal section of a second embodiment of the furniture piece similar to the section disclosed in FIG. 2;
- FIG. 6 is a top plan view of the open box.
- FIG. 7 is a section along the lines 77 of FIG. 6.
- the furniture piece formed as a box comprises a standing column 1, which is equipped with radially projecting foot ridges 2.
- the latter carry on their underside at their ends foot plates 3.
- Running rollers can also be provided instead the foot plates 3.
- the standing column 1 can be varied as to its length due to telescopic formation, whereby by example for obtaining the simplified setting movement and/or the weight balance in the standing column 1, a power accumulator spring-unit of a known structure in height-adjusting tables is provided.
- On the upper end sits the chest-like box 5 on top of the intermediate flange plate 4.
- the opening 4' of the flange plate 4 enters the set-off 1 of the column rotatably, under circumstances, in merely plug connection.
- the bottom face 6 of the box 5 is of circular configuration.
- the wall 7 forms accordingly a cylinder.
- the box 5 is closable by means of a closure cover 8.
- intermediate floor face 9 Inside of the box is arranged the intermediate floor face 9. Additional intermediate floor faces can be provided.
- the intermediate floor face 9 is arranged at the distance x from the bottom face 6 and rotatably provided concentrically to the latter. It sits for this purpose at the upper end of a hollow formed standing cylinder 10. It has the shape of an annular face. This annular face is mounted on the radially projecting flange 11 of the standing cylinder 10, which projects through the central opening 9 of the intermediate floor face 9. This mounting brings about the free rotation of the floor face 9 relative to the standing cylinder 10.
- the floor face 9 has an upwardly angled edge 12.
- a sector-shaped recess 13 which is at least as large that an easy accessibility for objects arranged below the fioor face 9 is arranged, by example, for objects standing or lying on the bottom face 6.
- the floor face 9 is upwardly bent on the one hand, for obtaining a more favorable mounting, and in particular on the other hand for obtaining the necessary stability.
- the marginal edges 13 of the recess 13 extending from the central opening 9 of the floor face 9 are rounded in the embodiment disclosed in FIGS. 5-7.
- the roundness of these recessed edges 13' corresponds to the cross-section formation of the box wall 7.
- the closure cover 8 is connected with the box 5 in both embodiments by means of two telescoping tubes 15 and 16, which both comprise the telescope parts 15 and 15", as well as 16' and 16", respectively.
- the different height positions of the cover can be fixed by releasable locks, which includes the key 17, the longitudinal rod 18 connected with the latter and the resting pin 19.
- the resting pin 19 sits on a U-like bent blade spring 20, which is disposed in the telescoping part 16". It enters into a resting opening 21 of the telescope part 16.
- a plurality of resting holes 21 can be provided as a series of holes one on top of the other, in order to make possible the different height positions of the cover as fixing positions.
- the longitudinal rod 18 is under the effect of a pressure spring 22, which supports itself at one end on an angular wing and at the other end at a step 23 of the longitudinal rod 18.
- a section 18 of the longitudinal rod 18 extends off-center further down and terminates into a control face 24, which effects the angular end 20 of the leg 20" of the blade spring 20 carrying the resting pin 19.
- the telescope part 16 is supported for the purpose of the weight balance by a pressure spring 25 disposed in the telescope part 16'.
- the same locking can also be provided in the telescopetube 15 formed by the parts 15 and 15.
- the telescope parts 15" and 16" are connected together at the other end by the closure cover 8.
- the bearing pins 26 are provided which enter, maintained by friction, into the bearing bushings 27 of the closure cover 8.
- the bushings 28 of the telescope parts 15" and 16 carrying the bearing pins 26 are equipped with outwardly directed handles 29.
- the closing cover 8 has at its inner face a mirror 30.
- the cosmetic and dressing table respectively, with clear overseeing of the entire box content can be formed.
- the mirror 30 can be mounted in form of a glass mirror or can be of a glued-on mirror foil or, under circumstances, also in form of a metal mirror.
- the marginal edge 30' of the mirror terminates at a distance from the marginal edge 8' of the cover 8 in order to prevent that one engages the mirror face, if the closure cover 8 sinks into the most favorable position of use.
- said floor face being disposed at a distance from said bottom member concentrically rotatable to the latter and releasable therefrom,
- said floor face having a sector-shaped recess for obtaining accessibility for objects disposed below said floor face
