Definitions
- a toilet article comprising a tube of toilet preparation and an aerosol dispenser, either or both of which are provided with cooperating attaching means enabling them to be attached together in at least a position of non-use.
- the attaching means may be formed in the cap of the tube or on the top or bottom of the dispenser.
- the present invention relates to a toilet article, and more particularly to a combination of a tube of toilet preparation and an aerosol dispenser.
- the toilet article according to the invention comprises, in combination, two distinct elements, namely a tube of toilet preparation and an aerosol dispenser, and attaching means enabling the attaching of said two elements one to the other at least when in a position of non-use.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic view in elevation, with a partial section, of the toilet article in a position of non-use.
- FIG. 2 is a view similar to FIG. 1, showing the toilet article in the use position of the dispenser.
- FIG. 3 is a modification of the toilet article shown in FIG. 1 wherein the side wall of the tube is extended to provide a skirt for receiving the top of the dispenser which provides a closure cap for the tube.
- FIG. 4 is a modification of the toilet article shown in FIG. 2 wherein the side wall of the tube is extended to provide a skirt for receiving the bottom of the dispenser which provides a closure cap for the tube.
- the toilet article illustrated has. two distinct principal elements, namely a tube of toothpaste 1 and an aerosol dispenser 2. Attaching means permit attachment of the two elements 1 and 2 one to the other when not in use.
- the cap 3 of the toothpaste tube 1 has an extension 4 in the form of a skirt, of flexible material, for example of flexible plastic material.
- the cross section of the skirt 4 corresponds to that of the body of the dispenser 2. Accordingly, the latter can be engaged in the skirt 4 either by its top 5 (as shown in FIG. 1), or by its bottom 6 (see FIG. 2).
- FIG. 2 shows that the dispenser 2 can also be used while it is attached by its body to the cap 3 of the tube 1, which on occasion facilitates keeping the dispenser 2 handy if it is small in size.
- the cap 3 could be formed directly in the bottom 6 of the dispenser 2 as shown in FIG. 4. It would be sufficient for the bottom 6 to have a tapped hole 8 having a pitch corresponding to that of the threaded tip 7 of the tube of toothpaste 1. However, this embodiment would necessitate the presence of a cap for the protection of the top 5 of the dispenser 2.
- the cap of the dispenser 2 could have a shape enabling it to be engaged by the neck of the tube 1, Whether or not the latter is provided with a special closure cap.
- the dispenser 2 may comprise an aerosol container Which could contain either liquid dentifrice or a deodorant or disinfectant product for the mouth and throat or even a disinfectant for toothbrushes before use.
- a toilet article comprising, in combination, two separate elements, namely a tube of toilet preparation and an aerosol dispenser, means for attaching said two elements one to the other at least when in a position of non-use, said attaching means comprising a closure cap for said tube including a skirt of flexible material corresponding in cross section to the cross section of the dispenser, such that said dispenser can be attached to said skirt either by its top or by its bottom.
- a toilet article comprising, in combination, two separate elements, namely a tube of toilet preparation and an aerosol dispenser, means for attaching said two elements one to the other at least when in a position of non-use, said attaching means comprising a skirt of flexible material, said skirt being an extension of said 3 4 tube, the cross section of said skirt corresponding to the 2,998,684 9/ 1961 Corey 222105 X cross section of the dispenser such that the dispenser can 3,181,737 5/1965 Chaucer 222143 X be attached to said skirt either by its head or its bas 3,261,381 7/ 1966 Roach ZZZ-94 X a part of said dispenser comprising a closure cap for said tube. 5 ROBERT B.
