A44k 3/22; F2411 1/06 1 Claim ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A portable shower including a shower spray head at one end of a pair of hoses, connected at their opposite ends to a junction, one of the hoses being intercepted by a heating coil below an inverted hood placed over a stove, and the junction being connected by another hose through an electric pump to a cold water source.

Yet another object is to provide a new and improved portable shower of the character indicated, which can be manufactured easily and inexpensively.

All of the foregoing and still further objects and advantages of my invention will now be explained with reference both to this specification and to the accompanying drawings wherein:

FIGURE 1 is a side view of my invention; and

FIGURE 2 is a view through 22 in FIGURE 1.

Referring now to FIGURES 1-2, there is shown a collapsible metal shower frame having a plastic cloth or layer 12 detachably secured thereto, and functioning as a shower curtain. Detachably secured to the top of the frame by means of clamp 14 is a shower nozzle head 16 provided with mixing valve 18.

A container 20 contains water 22. A pump 24 has an inlet port connected by suction tubing or pipe 26 through filter 28 into the container and its water supply. The outlet port of the pump is connected through hollow flexible pipe or tubing 30 to the inlet junction 32. Junetion 32 has two outlets, one of which is connected by flexible pipe 34 to one inlet of valve 18, the other of which is connected by pipe 36 to the inlet of unit 38. The outlet of unit 38 is connected through pipe 40 to the other inlet of valve 18.

Unit 38 is provided with a length of copper tubing or pipe wound into helix 42 and positioned inside an insulated container 44 open at its bottom end. The open bottom end rests upon a camp stove 46 or other source of heat. Pump 24 is electrically operated under the control of on-off switch 48, from a direct or alternating current source such as an automobile battery by means of detachable leads 50.

In use, when the pump is running and the stove iS heated, water from the water container is pumped directly to one side of valve 18, thus providing cold water for the shower head. At the same time, water is pumped through unit 38, wherein it is heated by the stove. The water so heated is supplied to the valve. Appropriate adjustment causes hot water or cold water, or water at a suitable intermediate temperature to be made available for use of the person desiring a shower.

The novel features and the operation of this device will be apparent from the foregoing description. While the device has been shown and the structure described in detail, it is obvious that this is not to be considered limited to the exact form disclosed, and that changes may be made therein within the scope and the spirit of the invention.

Having thus set forth and disclosed the nature of this invention, What is claimed is:

1. In a portable shower, the combination of a shower spray head, clamp means adjacent said head for securement to an elevated support, a pair of hoses connected at their one ends to said spray head, the opposite ends of said hoses being connected to a junction, one of said hoses being intercepted by a coil placed within an inverted hood fully closed at its top and around its sides, said hood being open at its bottom for placement over a camp stove and receiving heat therefrom upward into said hood, said junction being connected by a third hose to a cold water source, said third hose being intercepted by a water pump.
