PAPER-BAG HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 331,512, dated December .1, 1885.
Application filed June 3, 1885. Serial No. 167,533. (Modeh) To (ZZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWARD T. IVIARIIN, of Concordia, in the county of Cloud and State of Kansas, have invented a new and Improved Bag-Holder, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
The object of my invention is to provide a new and improved paper-bag holder, which is adapted to hold a number of bags of different sizes.
The invention consists in the combination, with a board having offsets in its bottom edge, of caps and hooks on the offsets, and nails or pins passed through the paper bags and held by the caps and hooks on the offsets.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure 1 is a side view of my improved paper-bag holder, parts being broken out and others in section. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same.
The board A, having eyes for hanging it on its top edge, has the lower edge provided with steps or offsets B. The vertical part 0 of each offset is provided with a recess or cavity. D, containing a cap, E, for receiving the end of a nail or pin, F, the other end of which is supported by a hook, H, secured on the outer end of the horizontal part 0 of the offset. Each pin or nail F has a head, G, provided with an annular groove, G, for receiving the hook H. The nail or pin is pointed and preferably has a diamond shaped cross section. 1
I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The combination, with the board A, having offsets in its bottom edge, of caps in the vertical parts of the offsets and hooks on the ends of the horizontal parts, substantially as herein shown and described.
2. The combination, with a board having offsets in its bottom edge, of caps held in the vertical parts of the offsets, hooks on the horizontal part, and of nails rested on the hooks and having their ends passed into the abovementioned caps, substantially as herein shown and described.
3. The combination, with the board A, having offsets in its bottom edge, of the caps E, the hooks H, and the pins or nails F, pro vided with heads G, having annular grooves, substantially as herein shown and described.
