NVILLIAM K. POWERS, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI CALCIMINE COMPOUND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 322,851, dated July 21, 1885;
Application filed February 9, 1885. (N0 specimens.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM'K. Powsns, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented a new and useful Oalcimine Composition, of which the following is a specification.
My composition consists of the following ingredients, combined in substantially the proportions stated, viz: plastic clay or kaolin, one thousand pounds; glue, fifty pounds; bichromate of potassium, one pound.
The clay I have used is found at Cape Gi- I have given the proportion of glue, supposing the glue to be of good quality. The quality of glue, however,varies considerably, and the proportion of glue in the composition would be varied accordingly, a larger proportion of glue being required when the glue is of poorer quality.
Any desired coloring material may be added; but the addition of coloring-powder calls for an additional proportion of bichromate of potash and glue.
I claim- The herein-described composition of matter to be used in making liquid calcimine, consisting of plastic clay, glue, and bichromate of potassium, in proportions substantially as specified.
