To all whom it may concern.-

In the usual construction these racks consist of a bracket at each end with a basket-like body between. While these racks or baskets afford convenience for holding packages, they are not properly fitted for hanging articles thereon, such as hats, The object of my invention is to provide these racks with a device upon which hats and like articles may be convenientlyhung; and it consists in constructing the bracket with a vertically-projecting hanger, as more fully hereinafter described.
A represents the bracket which forms one end of the basket, and may be of any of the 0 usual forms. At its front endI cast or attach thereto a hanger, B. This hanger is in the form of a vertical pin, andin shape as to conveniently receive a hat or thing to be hung thereon. Other shapes, however, maybe em- 35 A railway-car basket constructed with an 45 upwardly-projecting pin, B, substantially as described.
