(No Model.)
N0 299,494. Patented May 27, 1884.

UNITED STATES I PATENT OFFICE.
ANNA J. PRICE, OF FBOSTBURG, MARYLAND.
CASTER FOR STOVES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 299,494, dated May 27, 1884.
Application filed March 13, 1884. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANNA J. PRICE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Frostburg, in the county of Alleghany and State of Maryland, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Stove-Supports, of which the following is aspecification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
My invention has relation to roller-supports for stoves; and the object of the invention is to provide a bracket or support for stoves, whereby the stove may be readily moved from place to place, as may be desirable; and the novelty consists in a socket adapted to be clamped to the flange on the base of the stove, and provided with a swivel-caster, as will be hereinafter more fully described, and particularly pointed out in the claim. v
In the accompanying drawings the same letters of reference indicate the same parts of the invention.
Figure 1 is a perspective elevation of my improved roller'stove-support, and Fig. 2 is a modification of the bracket, whereby it may be fitted to stoves having a straight flange.
A is the socket, and is provided with a slot, B, adapted to receive the flange 011 the base of the stove, and O is a thumbscrew whereby thesocket may be rigidly securedto said flange. The socket A has a taper hole, D, into which is inserted the taper shank E of the caster F, and from this construction it will readily be seen that when a set of the supports are applied to' a stove it may be readily and easily moved from place to place, and will be found very useful in warehouses, showrooms, and other places of exhibition.
In household use the supports may be ad-- justed to the stove when it is to be moved for cleaning or other purposes, and removed when it is returned to its original position.
In Fig. 1 the slot for the flange is curved, and in Fig. 2 the slot is shown straight, and these forms correspond to the usual shape of the base-flange of the stove.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new-and useful, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
A roller-support for stoves, consisting of the socket A, having slot B and clamping-screw C and taper hole D, in combination with the caster F, having taper shank E, as and for the purposes set forth.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ANNA J. PRICE.
