tion material-receiving and handle structure 14. Structure 14 comprises an elongated, hollow, cylindrical, cupshaped, relatively thin walled component 16 which is most like. Component 16 is provided with a neck 18 at one end thereof which defines a circular opening 20 and as is illustrated in Fig. 2, neck 18 is ofiset inwardly with respect to the side Wall 22 of component 16. A bottom wall 24 closes the opposite end .of component 16 and the outermost surface of neck 18 is suitably threaded as at 26.

If desired, a protective insert 34 of wax-impregnated paper or the like may be provided within closure cap 28 which prevents material 36 in component 16 from reaching metallic cap 28.

As is apparent in Fig.2, band 32 is formed so as to present inwardly-extending threads 38 which are adapted to complementally engage threaded portion 26 of neck 18. The outermost end of band 32 is turned outwardly and rebent upon itself to form a round bead 40.

1 and 2 and, therefore,is provided with a cylindrical side wall 122, a bottom wall 124, a neck 118 disposed in in- 'warly offset relationship to wall 122 which defines an opening 120, andtsuitable threads 126 on the external surface of neck 118.

In the form shown in Fig. 3, element 112 is attached directly to neck 118 and closure cap 28 is eliminated. Element 112 includes a circular, substantially planar member 142, a plurality of frusto-conical, relatively closely spaced, substantially parallel fingers 144 extending outwardly from face 146 of member142 in substantially i unbreakable.

The innermost surface of wall 148 is internally threaded as at 138 in a manner so as to complementally engage. the threads 12.6 of neck 138. It is notable that the outermost surface of wall 148 is disposed in substantially fiush relationship with the outer surface of side wall 122.

The operation of device 110 is exactly identical to that of device it? and material 136 may be removed from component 116 by merely unscrewing element 112 to expose opening 120. Again it is to be pointed out that component 116 functions as a handle during use of element 112 to apply material 136 or to massage the scalp.

The invention illustrated fragmentarily in Fig. 4 is indicated broadly by the numeral 210. Device 210 includes a brush element 212 and material-receiving and brush structure 214.

Having thus described the invention what is claimed as new and desired to be secured by Letters Patent is:

Hair grooming structure comprising an elongated, hollow handle having a bottom wall, a relatively inflexible, cylindrical side wall, and an uppermost annular edge defining an opening, rendering the handle adaptable to receiving a hair grooming substance; a cover for said opening comprising a disc-like element of flexible material having a circular edgeand a pair of opposed,,fiat, parallel surfaces, one of said surfaces normally engaging said edge of the handle, a downturned, annular side wall inshiftable bottom wall (not shown) to the end that ma terial 236 :rnayzbe pushed outwardly through the neck 218 defining opening 220.

Element 212 is also provided with a continuous side, wall 222 joined to the peripheral edge of member 242 and extending-outwardly from face 250 of member 242 in parallel relationship to fingers 244. The innermostsurface of peripheral wall 222 is provided with an inwardlyextending first bead 254 which is adapted to interlock with an outwardly-extending second bead 2449 which is integral with the uppermost edge of neck 218.
