SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 292,863, dated February 5, 1884. Application filed September 151 83. (No model.)

clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains tovmake and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a partof this specific.-

My invention relates to improvements in paper paekingboxes; and it consists of interlocking the end and side laps on the top of the box, and in such manner that the contents tend to tighten rather than loosen the package. The construction is such that the tucks of one side enter the slots of the opposite, to bind them together, and the tucks of the end laps enter slots in the side laps,to hold the ends of the package in position.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,
