SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 279,590, dated June 19, 1883.
` Application filed December 26, 182. (Model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it knownthat I, JOHN P. ONDERDONK, of the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Paper Bags; and I do hereby declare that the following is a true and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying `drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. 4
The invention will first be described, and then specifically pointed out in the claim.
Figure 1 represents a tube with a bellows fold. One side of the tube is left longer than the other in order to form the flap A". A piece, C, is then out out of the bottom of the bellows fold. The tube is then folded down, as shown in Fig. 2. The flap A is then pasted and folded over on the side of the tube, as shown in Fig. 3. The corners of the bag E E are then turned up and pasted along and to the sides B B, as shown in Fig. 4. The sides B B are then' folded inwardly,`as shown in Fig. 5. Fig. 6 shows the bag when opened for use. Fig. 7
