Should no card C be in position beneath the roller during its movement towards the path of the cards it passes between two rollers 24 secured to a spindle 25 to which is also secured eject rollers, not shown, for ejecting a card C, Fig. 1, from the machine. If the detector roller 22 detects the absence of a card it operates, through arm ZI, a normally open knock-off switch about to be described.
