  • An article of apparel such as a dress, gown or the like comprising an upper blouse section and a lower skirt section, said skirt section being formed of a circumferentially flat continuous tubular section of fabric with a drawstring for gathering the top of the skirt, said blouse sec tion comprising a fiat panel folded flatly upon itself across the shoulders to form fiat front and rear panels for said blouse, the lower edges of said front and rear panels being fastened in the fiat to the ungathered top of the skirt to be gathered therewith, said blouse being open at the sides and said skirt extending substantially beyond the sides of the blouse, said skirt top extending to a point just short of the armpits of the wearer and having a circumference substantially greater than the body of the wearer.
  • An article of apparel such as a dress, gown or the like comprising fiat rectangular panel folded upon itself along the mid line between its ends to form a front and rear panel for said article, said front and rear panels each extending from the shoulders to at least the region of the knees of the wearer, a neck opening centrally disposed along the folded end, rectangular portions removed at each side of said folded panel adjacent the folded end thereof and extending down to the waist line of the wearer, the side edges of said front and rear panels being unconnected from the waist line upwardly to said folded end and being fastened together from the waist line down to the lower edges of said front and rear panels and drawstrings at the neck opening and waist line whereby the article may be ironed as a fiat panel and may be gathered into pleats at both the waist and neck when on the wearer to conform to the figure of the wearer.

An article of apparel such as a dress, gown or the like comprising an upper blouse section and a lower skirt section, said skirt section being formed of a circumferentially continuous tubular section of fabric with a drawstring for gathering the top of the skirt and having a circumference substantially greater than the body of the wearer, said blouse section comprising a flat panel folded flatly upon itself across the shoulders to form fiat front and rear panels for said blouse, the lower edges of said front and rear panels being fastened in the flat to the ungathered top of the skirt to be gathered therewith, said blouse being open at the sides from the shoulders to the waist and said skirt extending substantially beyond the sides of the blouse whereby the article may lie completely flat for ironing with only the skirt folded along its vertical sides and the blouse folded along the top, said blouse having a neck opening provided with a drawstring whereby the article may be gathered into pleats both at the waist and neck to conform to the figure of the wearer and retain fullness at the ungathered portions.

An article of apparel such as a dress, gown or the like comprising an upper blouse section and a lower skirt section, said skirt section being formed of a circumferentially flat continuous tubular section of fabric with a drawstring for gathering the top of the skirt, said blouse sec tion comprising a fiat panel folded flatly upon itself across the shoulders to form fiat front and rear panels for said blouse, the lower edges of said front and rear panels being fastened in the fiat to the ungathered top of the skirt to be gathered therewith, said blouse being open at the sides and said skirt extending substantially beyond the sides of the blouse, said skirt top extending to a point just short of the armpits of the wearer and having a circumference substantially greater than the body of the wearer.

An article of apparel, such as a dress, gown or the like comprising fiat rectangular panel folded upon itself along the mid line between its ends to form a front and rear panel for said article, said front and rear panels each extending from the shoulders to at least the region of the knees of the wearer, a neck opening centrally disposed along the folded end, rectangular portions removed at each side of said folded panel adjacent the folded end thereof and extending down to the waist line of the wearer, the side edges of said front and rear panels being unconnected from the waist line upwardly to said folded end and being fastened together from the waist line down to the lower edges of said front and rear panels and drawstrings at the neck opening and waist line whereby the article may be ironed as a fiat panel and may be gathered into pleats at both the waist and neck when on the wearer to conform to the figure of the wearer.
