'SAUCER FOR MUGS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 252,406, dated January 17, 1882.

neath part of the saucer with three projections or legs, also the top part with three ribs, to prevent all shaking and rattling when they are used; second, in the application of a dealface, in combination with a movable hand at the center part of the saucer, for the purpose of indicating the number of mugs, &c., re-
ceived. I attain these objrcts by the arrange ment illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a top view of the saucer, and Fig. 2 a vertical section through the center-0t the saucer.
A represents the main part of the saucer, having its outer rim, D, connected with the interior rim or circular projection, E. by the three ribs 0 CO. The circular projectiop B is provided with notches F F, which correspond with numbers marked on the interior of the circular projection E, so that the point of hand G will meet the notches F F when turned, indicating by this the required number. The hand G has its fulcrum on pin H, which is driven into a hole at the center of the saucer. At the underneath part of the saucer are three projections, B B B, intended to give a properly balanced rest on any uneven surface where it may be placed. The three ribs U O C in the interior of the saucer will have the same action to any uneven surface placed thereon.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Let" ters Patent of the United States, is-
1. The combination, with a saucer for mugs,
85c, having three projections, B B B, on its bottom for legs, and three ribs, 0 (J O, on its upper part, for the purpose specified. v
2. In a saucer for mugs, &c., the arrangement of a dealt-ace, in combination with a movable hand, Gr, its center pin, H, and notches F F in circular projection E, for the purpose 'set forth.
