Another important object of the` invention isto provide a device of' this character whichv can. be mounted in various positionsA of adjustment'and which embodies means for extensionA of various. of itscomponent parts,iso.as to provide for greatly. increased versatility in cargo-loading or unloading.
It.is a further object of the invention to providev a device of they character described which willI fuliill all. purposes for which it is interld'ed and will yet be'capable of being constructedcomparatively inexpensively; of handling heavy, loads, and oi possessing unusualV qualities of4 durability.
With the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention' consists of certain novel-details of'con-` struction and combinationsV ofy parts, hereinafter` :more fully described and pointed out in the claims, it being understoodthat changes may be made in the construction and arrangement of parts without departing-from the spirit of the invention as claimed.

The leg` member' lf22 is ycompositelyA form-edwin telescopingf portions; the lowerfportion having spaced; vertically aligned .s openings I 61 infitsrside for receiving the ends of an adjusting pmrI] which is positioned through a registering opening in the upper portion, thereby permitting the leg member to be fixed in various positions of longitudinal adjustment. The adjusting pin I1 is horizontally positioned through an opening in the end of a, housing I8 attached to the sides of the upper portion of the leg member I2, the pin having a handle disposed exteriorly of the housing to facilitate manual operation, and being connected interiorly to the housing by a coil spring I9 having one end secured to the end of the housing and having its other end secured to the pin.
Thereyis detachably. mountedon the upper ends of the leg.member I2 lan elbow tting 29, there being cooperating threads on the leg member and Within the arm of the tting for this purpose.
There is also an extension arm II, as hereinbefore mentioned, which is of cylindrical form and is preferably formed of a length of pipe material, said arm having one end detachably mounted within the other arm of the elbow fitting Y '.Ihe extension arm I I is horizontally extended from the elbow tting 29 and has its other end horizontallyand slidably mounted in the sleeve 9. Said extension arm II is adapted to serve as a track for a rollable grooved wheel 2I. There is also provided a U-shaped suspending member 22 which has transversely aligned bearing openings disposed in the ends of its arms, and said suspending member 22 is pivotally suspended from the'wheel 2I by means of a bolt 23 which extends through the openings in the arms of the suspending member 22 and through the wheel 2| and issecured by means of nuts. Pulley means 24 depend from the suspending member 22, providing means for lifting articles into or out of the truck 5, it being understood that other lifting means; rather than a pulley attachment, can also be used if desired. In operating the truck attachment herein described, it will be seen that it is capable of being almost completely dismantled in order to be transported on the truck 5 to the point at whichV it is to be used. Ii desired, the supporting member 'I may be removed from the base 6, the sleeve supporting member 8 may be detached from the supporting'member 1, the extension arm II` removed from the sleeve, the elbow member detached from the arm II and leg member I2, the leg member I2 telescoped to reduce its length to a minimum and the dolly I3 detached from the leg member I2.
In use, the attachment can be placed in a large number of positions of adjustment, as necessary to accomplish the particular loading or unloading tasks involved. The extension armv I I can be positioned at any angle to a line drawn longitudinally through the truck 5, permitting loading or unloading from the side of the truckor the rear as necessary.
Further, the dolly I3 can be positioned on a level higher or lower than that on which the Further, it is possible to extend the length of the extension arm II, not only by reason of its slidable mounting in the sleeve 9 but also by detaching it from the elbow fitting 20 and threading an extra length of pipe material onto its length, and into the elbow fitting. Similar means can be employed to extend the length of the supporting members 'I and l2 if desired.
What is claimed is:
l. In combination with a cargo-carrying vemounted on the vehicle, a longitudinally extendable cylindrical lsupporting member formed of pipe material revolvably and removably mounted 'in said flxed base, a cylindrical sleeve pivotally Y. tendable arm formed of pipe material having one end removably mountedwithin the elbow fitting and having its other end slidably positioned within'the aforesaid-sleeve, a lifting means suspendably mounted Aon the arm,- and wheel means rollabiy mounted on the extension arm for carrying the said lifting means. 1

In combination with a cargo-carrying vehicle, an attachement for loading or unloading articles transported Within vthe vehicle,v comprising a hollow cylindrical base xedly and vertically mounted on the vehicle, a longitudinally extendable cylindrical supporting member formed of pipe material revolvably and removably mounted in said xed base, a cylindrical'sleeve pivotallyand removably mounted on said supporting member, a longitudinally extendable leg member formed of pipe material removably and pivotally mounted on a movable' base, said leg member having Vtelescoping portions, there being vertically aligned openings disposed in oneof said portions, a registering opening 'in the other portion, a housing communicating with the registering openings, an adjusting pin positioned, within the housing and projecting exteriorly` from' the housing, a coil spring connected tothe pin Y and being connected tothe housing, Y'anelbow tting removably mounted on said leg' member, an extendable arm formed of pipe material having one end removably mounted Within the elbow fitting-and having its other end slidably` posil tioned within Athe aforesaid sleeve, a lifting means truck 5 rests, by reason of the telescoping arsuspendably mounted on the arm, and wheel means rollably mounted on the extension arm for carrying the said lifting means.
3. In combination with a cargo-carrying vehicle, an attachment for loading or unloading articles transported within the vehicle, comprising a hollow cylindrical base iixedly and Vvertically mounted on the vehicle, a vertically extendable cylindrical supporting-member revolvably and removably mounted in said fixed base, a cylindrical sleevepivotally and removably mountedon said supporting member, a vertically extendable leg member removably and pivotally mounted on a movable base, said legmember having telescoping portions, there being vertically aligned openings disposed in one of said portions, a registering opening in the otherportion, a housing communicating withthe registering opening, an adjusting` pin positioned within the housing 'and projecting exteriorly from the housing, a coil spring connected to the pnand to 4the housing,l
