init ates merely to say that the loading opening I3 is disposed near the front end of the refuse container, through which the refuse is loaded into the container so that it passes to the impeller in the manner described, by which it is packed into the refuse compartment 3! from which it is dis charged through the discharge opening 34 pro vided at the rear end of the vehicle and provided with the closing door 35 operable by means of the mechanism 36.
Discharge of the refuse from the compartment 3| is effected by operation of the discharge conveyor 33 which is capable of being operated independently of the impeller in the manner described in my aforesaid specification, which conveyor may further be operated during the charging of the compartment as described in my speciiication aforesaid.
In the particular arrangement illustrated the loading opening I3 is disposed immediately to the rear of the front end of the refuse container l2.
