4 Claims.V (Cl. 248-102) The present invention relates to a novel and improved small bottle holder which is adapted to accomodate and retain in position a bottle containing a nger nail preparation such as polish, cleaner or the like.

An object of the invention is to provide a bottle holder which is characterized by two essential units, a relatively xed stand and a complemental bottle grip and holder which is cradled for pendulous rockingkin said stand, whereby when the bottle is placed in said second unit and the closure is removed, the contents is available for convenient and handy use.

It is another object of the invention to prevent spilling of nail polish when the same is dispensed while holding the bottle in ones hand. Often when the contents of the bottle vis diminished it is a practice to hold the .bottle in the hand and to thus render the contents more available to the insertible and removable brush. Experience has shown, however, that polishing ones nails is often a tedious job and unless some satisfactory means is provided to adequately hold the bottle against tippling, disastrous results are often encountered. So, the primary object of the invention is, as before indicated, to provide a simple and practical holder which will not only steady and anchor the bottle but will allow same to be tilted with ease for safe and adaptable results.

More specifically, in reducing to practice a preferred embodiment of the invention I provide a simple base or stand which is anchorable on a table or the like, said stand being such as to accommodate the swingably mounted bottle holder and the latter .being cradled in the stand in a manner to normally retain the bottle in a perpendicular or upright position but to allow same to be tilted back or forth for accessibility purposes.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will become more readily apparent from the -following description and accompanying illustrative drawing.

In the drawing:

Figure 1 is a side elevational view of a bottle holder constructed in accordance with this invention and showing the manner in which same is constructed and used;

Reference is now had to the drawing by distinguishing reference numerals and, noting Figure 1 it will -be seen that the unit or part of the assemblage which I call the stand comprises lfrusto-conical and that the attened top or crown portion 8 serves to accommodate a bolt 9 and washer I0 which parts in turn serve to accommodate the L-shaped members which go to make up the stated U-shaped standard. Each L-shaped member comprises a vertically disposable upright II and a horizontally disposable inturned attaching portion I2. The portions I2 overlap and are slotted, as at I3, to accommodate the bolt and nut means. It follows that by locating the uprights in parallelism and the inturned slotted portions in overlapping relation a U-shaped stand, attached to a suction cup, is had, the parts of said stand being shiftable toward and from each other to increase or decrease the width of said stand.

'Ihe nail polish or equivalent -bottle is denoted -by the numeral I4 and this has a removable closure I5, said bottle being adapted to be placed, for use in the holder unit I6. The latter unit is such as to accommodate the bottle and is pivoted as at I1 between the uprights, thus providing the desired cradling and tilting action.

The unit I6 is actually made up of four L-shaped members, these being arranged in pairs, the members of each pair being opposed, and the respective pairs being at right angles to each other as is clear from the drawing. 'I'he members I8 of one pair have inturned slotted portions I9 which are overlapped and assembled by the Ibolt 20. The corresponding members 2I of the remaining pair have laterally inturned and slotted portions 22 and these are also overlapped and underlie the overlapping end portions I9 and are secured by the same bolt 20. Thus, the members are Vall L-shaped and have their short limbs or laterally directed slotted portions properly overlapped and adjustably bolted together. This makes it possible to increase or decrease l actua-l practice sdlon'g;

the size of the cradle to accommodate small bottles of varying sizes. It also makes it possible to adjust the cradle to lt the stand or vice versa.
