A pencil holder consisting of two hollow caps, one of the caps overlapping the other when brought end to end, each cap having an offset eccentric hole therein through which a pencil passes, these eccentric holes are oiset from the longitudinal center line of the caps when the caps are rotated relative to one another the eccentric holes grip the pencil passing therethrough, an opening is provided in the outer end of one of the caps for allowing the point of the pencil to eX- tend through.
