SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 237,584, dated February 8, 1881.

Application filed November 26, 1880.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE A. OGLE, of the city of Baltimore and State of Maryland, have invented an Improved Combined Paper- Weight and Calendar, of which the following is a specification; and I do hereby declare that in the same is contained a full, clear, and exact description of my said invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.

This invention consists in a cubical paperweight having on the faces thereof a calendar, arranged preferably as follows Each face of the block has inscribed thereon the months of the year and the year and the days of the several months on which one day of the week falls-in other words, one face of the block has inscribed thereon the day of the month of every Monday in the year, another the Tuesdays, another the Wednesdays, and so on.

The accompanying drawing is an isometrical view of the invention.

rangement of the figures and letters; but I prefer that shown in the drawing-viz., the figures in columns and the day of the week indicated in large letters. These letters may differin color from the figures, so as to avoid complication of lines, or they may be dotted, as'shown.

It is designed to make the weight of porcelain and have the surfaces glazed after the figures and letters are printed thereon but they may be cast of some heavy metal or made of any suitable material without affecting myinvention.

I claim as my invention- A combined paper-weight and calendar, which consists of a cubical block having its six sides figured and lettered for different days in the week throughout the year, substantially as herein described.
