My invention pertains to a lock handle for the outside manual and key control of door locks which may be latchedirom the inside, and to a method of assembly.
-' iIt isan object of my invention to provide an improved handle for the combined direct man-' ual or key'control of a door lock from the outside, even when it has been latched from the inside, and to an improved method of ,assembly therefor. I
It is also an object of my invention to provide such a door lock handle assembly which will be a simple rugged construction, convenient to assemble and durable in operation.
, It is a further object of my invention to provide an improved door lock handle for the combined direct manual and key control from the outside of a door lock having a larger radius for the key controlled or releasing mechanism.v

Referring more specifically to Fig. 1, I have illustratively disclosed my improved door lock handle for combined outside manualand key control, comprising a handle ll having an elongated hub and extension l3 projecting from one side and suitably conformed at the end l5 as by being non-circular or square .in cross-section, for operative engagement into a similarly shaped aperture in any lock member, such as a rollback, to be actuated from the handle, as. will be slot 23 in the extension. A look barrel 25 is rotatively disposed in the aperture in the handle in a bushing 21 which is provided'with two tumbler recesses 29, adapted to receive the tumblers 3|. The bushing 21 is connected, by interconnecting parts 33, with the tubular extension member.

A certain amount of relative angular rotation is provided, as determined by the circumferential lengths of these adjacent slots, so that sumciently turning the lock spindle. 35 by a key 41 may turn the cam sleeve I! on the tubular extension, while the latter remains stationary.
