The coupling 36 which is located on the other side of the bag is the same as the-coupling 34 and is provided with :an opening to receive'the adi joining ends of the rods 26 and 28, set screws 54 for maintaining the rods in position, and a supporting ring 56 which receives a depending hook 58 which in turn is supported for swinging movement in a bracket 6!). The bracket 60 in turn rigidly supported on the end of a stub shaft 62 which, as shown most clearly in Fig. 1, is supported by and connected by a coupling 64 to a horizontalstud 65 on which a transferrer 61 is mounted. Thus, if the bag is displaced forwardly for any reason, the bag or receptacle will swing rearwardly when the displacing force is released.
Having thus described our invention, what we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is:
l. A loom having in combination, a loom frame, a shuttle box, filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, a swingably mounted receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers, and means arranged to support said receptacle on opposite sides thereof in position below said shuttle box to receive ejected fillin carriers, said supporting means being constructed and arranged to permit said receptacle to return automatically to said filling carrier receiving po- 2. 3. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box,
filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, means for supporting the transfer mechanism, a receptacle formed of flexible material for receiving ejected filling carriers, said receptacle having a loose front section against which the filling carriers are normally ejected to prevent bouncing of said filling carriers, and means arranged swingably to support said receptacle in' position below said shuttle box, said supporting means being constructed and arranged normally to permit said receptacle to return to filling carrier receiving position.
4. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box and filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, the combination therewith of a receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers, and means for supporting the receptacle in position below the shuttle box to receive the ejected filling carriers, said supporting means comprising a rigid frame for the top of the receptacle, means fixed to the frame near the forward end of said receptacle on one side, means fixed to said frame near the rearward end of said receptacle at the other side, and means supported by the loom frame cooperating with said means fixed to said frame for supporting said receptacle.
5. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box, and filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, the combination therewith of a receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers, a frame for the upper end of said receptacle, means fixed on opposite sides of said frame, a hook-shaped member fixed to the loom frame and cooperating with one of said last mentioned means for pivotally supporting the inner side of said receptacle, and a second hook member pivoted to the loom rearwardly of the first mentioned hook-shaped member for pivotally supporting the other side of the receptacle and permitting the receptacle to swing, generally rearwardly about the first mentioned hookshaped member into filling carrier receiving position below said shuttle box.
6. A loom having in combination, a loom frame, a shuttle box, filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, a receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers and means disposed on opposite sides of said receptacle for supporting the receptacle from said loom in position below said shuttle box to receive said ejected filling carriers, said supporting means comprising cooperating means on the loom frame and on the receptacle for supporting the inner side of the receptacle, and cooperating means suspended from the loom and located rearwardly of the first mentioned supporting means for supporting the outer side of the receptacle.
7. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box, filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, and means for supporting said mechanism, the combination therewith of a pivotally mounted receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers, a two par frame for the upper end of said receptacle, couplings for rigidly securing together adjoining ends of said frame, one of said couplings being located forwardly of the median line of said receptacle and the other of said couplings being located rearwardly thereof, a member fixed to the loom frame and on which said forwardly located coupling is supported, and a pivotally supported member for receiving and supporting the other of said couplings, said pivotally supported member being located rearwardly of said first supporting member for the purpose described.
8. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box, filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, and means for supporting said transfer mechanism, a pivotally supported receptacle for receiving ejected filling carriers, a frame for the upper end of the receptacle, said frame comprising two complementary U- shaped members inserted within a hem formed in the upper end portion of the receptacle, means for securing the adjoining ends of said frame together, means rigidly secured to the loom frame and arranged to support one side of said receptacle, and means pivotally supported on said transfer mechanism for supporting the other side of said receptacle, said pivotally supported supporting means being located rearwardly of the first mentioned receptacle supporting means to permit the receptacle to swing about said first mentioned receptacle supporting means into filling carrier receiving position below said shuttle box.
9. In a loom having a loom frame, a shuttle box, filling carrier transfer mechanism cooperating with said shuttle box, and means supporting the transfer mechanism, a pivotally supported receptacle formed of flexible material for receiving filling carriers ejected upon operation of the transfer mechanism, a frame for the upper end of said receptacle, said frame comprising two complementary U-shaped members inserted in a hem formed in the upper end portion of the receptacle, couplings for securing the adjoining ends of the frame together, ring-shaped supports formed as a part of said couplings, one of said couplings being located nearer the front of the receptacle and the other coupling being located nearer the back of said receptacle, a hook fixed to the loom frame and entering the ring near the front of the receptacle to support the inner side of said receptacle, and a second hook pivoted to said transfer mechanism supporting means and entering the other ring-shaped support to support the receptacle and to permit it to swing rearwardly into filling carrier receiving position.
