3Claims.

The present invention relates to new and useful improvements in shaving kits, and has for its primary object to provide a receptacle having -a plug-in socket for anelectric razor or an electric fan having electric connection with a source of current and also mounting a fluorescent lamp in the receptacle which is also connected in the electric circuit and-carried by a swingable front panel in the receptacle to illuminate the face of the person while shaving.

A further object is to provide a foldable mirror mounted in the receptacle and adapted for swinging movement above the lamp into a desired position.

A still further object is to provide a device of this character of simple and practical construction, which is neat and attractive in appearance, relatively inexpensive to manufacture and otherwise well adapted for the purposes for which the same is intended.

Other objects and advantages reside in the details of construction and operation as more fully hereinafter described and claimed, reference being had to the accompanying drawings formirm part hereof, wherein like numerals refer to like parts throughout, and in which- Figure 1 is a top plan view with the kit shown Figure 2 is a front elevational view,

Referring now to the drawings in detail, wherein for the purpose of illustration I have disclosed a preferred embodiment of the inventainer or receptacle generally which includes a bottom 6, end walls 1, a back 8 and a hinged cover 9 hingedly connected 'as at In to the back for swinging over the open top of the receptacle.

The front wall ll of the receptacle is hinged as at 12 at its lower edge for swinging into and out of position for closing the front of the receptacle. Mounted in the receptacle adjacent the front thereof is a supporting structure II including a vertical panel l4 and a horizontal shelf 15 projecting forwardly from the panel, the vertical panel having a plurality of plug-in sockets IS attached thereto as well as toggle switches II for controlling an electric circuit having a feed wire ll leading to a suitable source of current, the feed wire being connected to the plug-in socket I6 and to the switches I! in a conventional manner such as shown in Figure 1 of the drawings.

Secured to the inside of the front wall or panel ll adjacent each end thereohis a. pair of brackets I! having terminals 20 attached thereto for the ends of a tubular fluorescent lamp 2| of conventional construction, the terminals 20 also being electrically connected with the circuit wire. The lamp 2| is thus supported in a parallel. relation withxrespect to the inner surface of the front panel ll.

The ends of the front panel II are bent inwardly as shown at 22 to form wings which may be of substantially triangular shape as shown to advantage in Figure 3 of the drawings, two edges of the wings being free and projecting inwardly of the receptacle in frictional engagement with the end walls 1 whereby to secure the front panel il in a desired outwardly inclined position.

A mirror supporting plate 23 is provided with 20 trunnions 24 projecting outwardly from opposite sides at one edge and which are rotatably supported in U-shaped clamp devices 25 secured by bolts 26 to the shelf l5. Also secured to a relative opposite edge of the support 23 are a pair 25' of U-shaped clamping devices 21 by means of bolts-'28, the clamping devices 21 having the ends of a rod 29 rotatably supported therein. A pair of lugs 30 are securedto the rod 29, one end of the lugs being welded or otherwise seemed to the 30 back ll of the mirror 32, the lugs being secured adjacent one edge of the mirror whereby to permit the mirror to swing by the rotary movement of the rod in the clamps 21. What I claim is:

l. A shaving kit comprising a cabinet having a front wall hinged at its lower edge, a vertical and a horizontal partition in the cabinet and cooperating with said front wall to form a compartment in the front portion of the cabinet, a lamp supported on the inside of said front wall and adapted to illuminate the face of a person in front of the cabinet when the wall is swung outwardly.- means for supporting the front wall in an outwardly inclined position, and a mirror adjustably supported on the horizontal partition above the lamp, said lamp being movable into a position within the compartment and said mirror being foldable upon the horizontal partition when v not in use.

2. A shaving kit comprising a cabinet having a. front wall hinged at its lower edge, a vertical and a horizontal partition in the cabinet and cooperating with said front wall to form a compartment in the front portion of the cabinet, a lamp supported on the inside of said front wall and adapted to illuminate the face of a, person in front of the cabinet when the wall is swunz outwardly, inwardly projecting wings on the ends a foldable upon the horizontal partition when not in use.

A shaving kit comprising a cabinet having a front wall hinged at its lower edge; a vertical 1., and ahorizontal partition in the cabinet and cooperating with said front wall to form a compartment in the front portion of the cabinet, a lamp supported on the inside of said front wall and adapted to illuminate the face of a person 10 in front of the cabinet when the wall is swung outwardly, means for supporting the front wall in an outwardly inclined position, a mirror support pivoted at one edge to the horizontal partition and a mirror pivoted atone edge to a rela 1i tively opposite edge of the support for adjustably swinging the mirror vertically and forwardly relative to the lamp, said lamp being ,movable into a position within the compartment and said mirror and mirror support being foldable upon 20 the horizontal partition when not in use.
