aperture, holding means arranged on said collecting plate, said holding means extending into the receptacle when the collecting plate is in its iirst position, and cam means arranged on said collecting plate, said cam means extending into the receptacle when the collecting plate is in its second position, said closure plate being adapted to contact with said cam means of said collectafter use the collecting plate 2 is swung up from below, the extension 'I1 swings downwards and the plate l5 is able to drop back into the position as drawn on the right hand side. y
Having now particularly described and ascertained the nature of our said inventionv and in,
what manner the same is to be performed, ywe declare that what we claim is:
1. A receptacle for ashes or the likel with at least one. aperture in its walls for the delivery oi'v ashes into the receptacle. comprising a collecting plate for ashes or the like arrangedl on theoutside of said wall and movably mounted on the receptacle near the lower edge. of said aperture, said collecting plate being adapted to be brought ing plate for swinging same into ash receiving position when gthe closure plate isl swung into closing position, said holding/means being adapted to engage with said closure plate for holding l same in closing position when said collecting plate is in ash receiving position, and said holding means becoming disengaged from said closure plate to permit ,movement of said closure plate ll'ftovopening position when the collecting plate is swung into ash delivery position.
A' 4. A receptacle?r as claimed in claim 3, an arm being arranged on said closure plate, and a push button being movably arranged in said receptacle, said push button .being in engagement with said arm. for causing.- a 4swingingfmovement of rthe pivot point of the closure plate is arranged into a rst position for receiving ashes and into a second position for delivering ashes through said aperture and closing same, a closure plate arranged on the inside of said wall andfmovably mounted on the receptacle near the upper edge of said aperture, said closure plate being adapted to be brought into a rst position for closing said 'aperture and intoa second position for opening said aperture, and means whereby movement of said closure plate to closing. position is adapted to cause movement of vsaid collecting plate to ash receiving position and whereby movement of said collecting plate to ashdelivery position is adapted to cause movement o! said closure plate to opening position.
2. A receptacle for ashes or the like with at said closure plate into vclosing position.
5. A receptacle as claimed in claim 3,- in which l-at a place 'ot-the receptacle permitting an automatic swingingmovement o! the closure plate by gravityfromthe ,-closing position into the opening position when .the holding means is disengaged from said closure plate. f
least one aperture in its walls for the delivery of f ashes into the receptacle, comprising a collecting f plate for ashes or the like arranged on the outside of said Walland .movably mounted onthe ,receptacle near the lower edge of said aperture, v-
said collecting plate being adapted to bebrought intov a first position for receiving ashes andA intol a second position for delivering ashesfthrough said v aperture and closing same, aV closure plate arranged on the` inside of said wall 'andinovablv y v.mounted on the receptacle near the upper edge "f saidaperture, said closure plate being adapted to bebrought into a first position for closing said "aperturefand into fa second position for opening said aperture, and a cooperative connection between said collecting plate and said closure plate whereby said closure'plate is in closing position when said collecting plate is` in ash receiving position.
3. A 'g receptacle for ashes or the like with at least. one aperture in its walls vfor the delivery of ashes into-the receptacle, comprising a co1- lecting plate for ashes or the like arranged on the outside of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the lower edge of said aperture, said collecting plate being adapted to be swung into a iirst position for receiving ashes and into a second positionfo'r delivering ashes through said aperture and closing same, a closureplate 6. A receptaclevfor ashes or the like with at lleast one upwardly` inclined wall and an aperture ,therein forthey delivery of` ashes into the receptacle, comprising a collecting plate forl ashes or-the likeA arranged von theoutside of said inclined wallA and pivoted to the receptacle near the lower edge.A of saidaperture, said collecting plate being adapted to be -swung into aiirst position for receiving.l ashesfand linto k,a second position vfor l,delivering-ashes through said aperture and clos- -ingsa1'ne,`r a'closurefplate arrangedon the inside ofsaid inclined .wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the upper edge oi.' said aperture, said closure plate being adapted tobe swung into anrst position for Vclosing said aperture andl into a second -position lfor opening said aperture, means for swingingsaid closure plate into closing position,
holding means arranged on said collecting plate,
said holding means extending into the receptacle when the collecting `plateis, in its rst position, and cam means arranged on said collecting plate, said cam means extending into the recep tacle when the collecting plate is in its second position, said closure plate being adapted to contact with said cammeans of said collecting plate for swinging same into ash receiving.' position when v`the closure'plate is swung into closing position, said holding means being adaptedY to engage with said closure plate for holding same in closing position when said collecting vplate is in ash receiving position, and said holding means becoming disengaged from` said closure plate so that said closure plate swings by gravity into opening position when thewcollectin plate is swung into ash delivery position.
'1. A receptacle for ashes or the like with at least one aperturein its wallsV for.V the delivery of ashes into the receptacle, comprising a collectingp1ate-!or ashes or the :like arranged on the outside .of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle; near the lower -edge of said aperture, said collecting plate being adapted to vrbe swung `into a iirst position for receiving ashes and into a second position `for delivering ashes thmugh said aperture and closing same, a closure plate arranged on the inside of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the upper edge of said aperture, said closure plate being adapted to be swung into a first position for closing said aperture and into a second position for opening said 2,27aoev aperture, and cam means arranged on said collecting plate, said cam means extending into the receptacle when the collecting plate is in its second position, said closure plate being ladapted to contact with said cam means of said collecting plate for swinging'same into ash receiving position when the closure vplate is swung into closing position.
8. A receptacle for ashes or the like with at least one aperture in its walls for the delivery of ashes into the receptacle, comprising a collecting plate for ashes or the like arranged on the out- Y side of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the lower edge of said aperture, saidk collecting plate being adapted to be swung into a rstv position for receiving ashes and into a second position for delivering ashes through said aperture and closing same, a closure -plate are ranged on the inside of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the upper .edge of said aperture, said collecting plate being adapted'to be swung into a rst position for closing said aperture and into a second position for (opening said aperture, and holding means arranged on said collecting plate, said holding means extending into the receptacle when the collecting plate is the outside of said wall and pivoted to the receptacle near the lower edge of said aperture, said collecting plate being'adapted to be swung into a rst position 'for receivingashes and into a second position for delivering ashes through said aperture and closing same, a closure plate arranged on the inside of said Wall and pivoted -to the receptacle near the upper edge of said aperture, said closing plate being adapted to be swung into a first position for closing said aperture and into a second position for opening said aperture, and a linkage connection between said collecting plate and said closure plate whereby movement of said closure plate to closing position is adapted to cause movement of said collecting plate to ash receiving positiorgkand Whereby movement of said collecting plate' to ash delivery position is adapted to cause movement of said closure plate to opening position. s 10.
