Description
UNITED STATES PATENT GFFICE.
ERNST BAGNIGKI, OF NEIV YORK, N. Y.
SYRINGING APPARATUS.
Specification of Letters Patent No. 22,615, dated January 181, 1859.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ERNST BAGNICKI, of New York, in t-he county and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Machine for Curing Leucorrhea and Similar Sexual Diseases; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
Figure I represents a cross section, and Fig. II a horizontal section of the machine. Fig. III is a section through the pump.
The object of my invention consists in the manner of curing any of the above named diseases by injection in combination with electricity which latter acts in connec tion with the dormant electricity in the human body, so as to produce the desired effect; and to produce the required electricity at the same time the water or other suitable fluid is injected is the nature of my invention. For this purpose I construct in the bottom or lower part of a chair a tank A divided by means of a very line sieve, a, into two parts, c, and, d. In the part, c, the water or other suitable fluid is poured through the spout, y, and filters through the sieve, a, into the other part, d, of the tank, in which latter part a pump B is placed, by which. the fluid is forced up and injected through a flexible tube, g, into the womb. Above the tank A another vessel D is placed, over which the person, operated on, sits, and which receives the waste, which is then allowed to run off at the back through an opening or cock, 7L.
The rod of the pump projects through the seat of the chair and is worked by gearing or any other means, so as to be easily handled by the person using the apparatus.
The pump used, and by which the required electricity is produced is represented in Fig. III. The same is with the exception of the valve chambers constructed in the usual manner. The valve chambers are provided with two openings one above and one below l and similar to each other and said openings are made smaller than the diameter of the pipes or passages leading to and from the same. Then the pump is at rest those lower openings are covered with metallic ball valves V.
As soon as the pump is set in operation for the purpose of injecting the water or fluid the ball valves will be alternately lifted up to allow the water to pass through the pump, in the usual manner. But as a valve seat similar to the lower one is likewise in the top of the valve chamber the passage will be closed up by the raising of the ball valve until the said ball valve falls again by its own weight upon the lower seat. This alternate motion of the ball between the lower and upper seat will be repeated in very quick succession, and a certain kind of electricity will thereby be produced, which passes into the water and is injected with the water or fluid into the human body producing thereby the desired effect. To increase the electricity I increase the number of the valve chambers whereby any desired strength may be obtained, and by actual experience I have found that the addition of one extra suction valve to the upper part of the pump produces as much electricity as t-he strongestperson can bear.
I ain-aware that different kinds of pumps have been used and adapted for the purpose of injecting water or other fluid and do not claim the manner of injection by means of a pump generally, but
IVhat I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is- The construction of a chair substantially as described and containing a pump with an arrangement of the valve chambers in the manner and for the purpose substantially as specified.
ERNST BAGNICKI.
