(Cl. 132-9) This invention relates to an applicator more particularly for applying solutions such as wave set, hair dyes or tints to human hair.
The principal object of the invention is to provide an economical, eillcient device which will efficiently distribute the above solution and which will have an alternating suction and pressure action to agitate and force solutions uniformly and completely throughout the hair.
Other objects and advantages reside in the detail construction of the invention, which is designed for simplicity, economy, and efficiency. These will become more apparent from the following description.
In the following detailed description of the invention reference is had to the accompanying drawing which forms a part hereof. Like numerals refer to like parts in all views of the drawing and throughout the description.

The improved applicator employs a pad ll of spongy. absorbent material, preferably a cylindrical block of sponge rubber. The pad is se- 1 cured in a holder consisting of a flexible rubber suction cup II from which a handle member I2 projects.

In assembling the device, suitable cement is placed on the flange I3 and the handle i2 is forced outwardly through the opening I! in the cup until the flange seats in the depression ll. Having thus described the invention, what is claimed and desired secured by Letters Patent is:
1. An applicator for applying fluids comprising: a sponge-like pad; a flexible impervious cup enclosing a portion of said pad; and a handle projecting from said cup.
2. A solution applicator comprising: a flexible suction cup: a handle projecting from said cup; and a sponge-like pad secured within said cup.
3. An applicator for app y fluids comprising: an imperforate rubber cup having an open face and a sealed back: a handle disc secured to the inner face of said closed back; a handle secured to said disc and projecting outwardly and. concentrically through said back; and an absorbent pad secured within and fllling said cup.
4. An applicator for applying fluids compris ing: an imperforate rubber cup having an open face and a scaled back; a handle disc secured to the inner face-of said closed back; a handle secured to said disc and projecting outwardly and concentri al y t ush said back; and an absorbent pad secured within and filling said cup. said back having a depression on its inner face receiving said handle disc.
